And another thing...

When I do get a flash and a wave, I rush to the Was it You section and I'm never there (and nobody replies when I post).

Could it be that the wavers are not scoobynetters?

AHA

the answer to the wave issue is in the thread

i believe it was dazza who summed it up

" when i see the big spots"

its what i said all along!!

how many people thought of scoobys as a serious car in the eightys?? farmers prehaps??

how many people thought of the scooby as a serious car once mr Mcrae had his way with it....

my 96 gl classic (IMPREZA) prefacelift and very invisible

sorry couldnt help myself there

I nearly waved at a Toyota the other day. That oval badge looks similar from a distance.

Erm maybe I need new glasses.

I find the waving issue to be very Elitist to the imprezza driver, I drive a Legacy estate, and can only dream of the day I can afford an imprezza, I wave at all Subaru's with little response so tend not to bother now, I get more reaction from the boy racers in their nova's who often wonder why they cant keep up with an estate car lol, never the less I love everything Subaru and will continue to visit scoobynet

Did'nt know about the wave! But can see why you would. Had some kids waving at me from a motorway bridge leaving the 602. Even they knew....

Will make a concerted effort in future.

Always wave...only to Impreza Turbos tho'.... and 90% of Men, and 0% of Women wave back in this neck of the woods. Also, the local EVOs are friendly....

Classic MY98,P1 & UK300 all got loadsa waves. All have distinctive front ends.

Get a Black Stealth 03 wagon & its hard work getting a wave.Have now got Subaru sun strip which has helped matters.

Impreza drivers tend to ignore me too.

But then, I'm sure they're only jealous of my twin turbos and acres of boot space

(only kidding guys)

Whilst working in North Wales I find most scoobies old and new shape wave back- friendly lot! But in Staffs the bug eye and 03 models are miserable as sin. No waves, not even a flinch, nod or smile! Come on you midlands lot- buck up and give the friendly classic green turbo a wave!!

When you approach another scoob from behind, do you wave or flash? Always thought that the person in front thinks there is something wrong with their car or....judging by how paranoid we all are...trying to nick it!

Well???

Maybe if you flash when coming up behind them they'll either move over or speed up!

This one is a mystery to me - you can't wave because the driver in front may not be looking in the mirror when you wave... maybe you should slow down and travel in convoy for a while?

When on the bike I wave at cop bikes all the time, but have never had a response. But had a cop in a car wave me past a wide load on the A38 once that was taking up both lanes and had at least a 15 mile tail back, 'cause thats how far I filtered.

When I had the Legacy I used to get waved at, but now I have the STI I just get strange looks.
