Wink

The one to drop out was from the first 10. So now the first 10 includes the original number 11!

Well - that's my theory anyway...

Apparently I have a package at home. Three sets of pads, a feedback grid for each, an information sheet describing the difference between the pads and finally an envelope to send 'em back in. The sheets, not the pads that is

Yep... got mine . Exactly as above.

One question tho.... the red pads are they the V3s or the cermaic ones. Can't really make out which, i think they are V3s but i'd much prefer the cermaic ones (according to the blurb rivals for the Mintex 1155s and Ferodo 2500s).

For the reds, I've got a set each of the V3's and the ceramics. Plus a set of greens.

Interesting, I've got...
1* set "Yellow" 1626
1* set "Red" V3
1* set "Green" V4 (DP21200)

It's really the Reds that I'm interested in!

John.... do you have a set of the yellows too? Or do you just have the three sets you listed?

Perhaps the Sti8 Brembo pads are out of stock?

Question

I thought it was strange that I've received Yellows. I've only been on track once. I wouldn't exactly class myself as a track day monster! To be honest, I'd rather have trialled the other 'flavour' of Redstuff instead of the Yellows. It could be months before I use those!

Right, im sick of this!!! Everytime i log on my e-mail i get threads from this post. I basically put my details up so that I could maybe test these pads out. But instead i get bombarded with scoobynet thread activity notifications. Im absolutley sick of it!!!!
Why on earth does it take weeks and weeks to say yes you can try the pads out, and in the meantime everyone is on asking for them or making comments.
What a **** thread!!

I know I shouldnt have have clicked the e-mail notification now as i never expected the response from everyone else. I only clicked the box as I thought the response for agreeing to give the pads a go maybe might come through the thread. But hell no, just been ignored and have received umpteen e-mails about dull comments...

Why on earth is there not an option to stop receiving threads from a post on here?

I am not a happy bunny. Not bothered about pads, but more bothered about the bombardment of e-mails everyday!

Johnny

Sorry to give you another email but why don't you put an email block on the address that sends you the emails - they'll just get junked then.

Doc

What pads did you ask for?

None here yet, maybe there is a problem with the Sti8 Brembos as Phil said.

Question

Guys my pads are so low now that they are making a constant squealing noise - I hope this isn't the pad against the disc there doesn't appear to be any damage as a result.
Do the 01 / UK300's brake pads get fitted with low pad warning material that creates such a noise ?
Or am I just a fantasist.
Surely subaru can't be that clever - can they ?

northernmadbugger,

I believe that that would be the indicator to change the pads. On my MY02 the manual refers to this sound being inbuilt indicator.

I bought some red pads just before this offer and queried why they didn't come with the squeal wear indicators - the answer - they just don't, even though the rivet holes are on the plate.
The greens did have them. All sounds logical to me??
Thereds replaced green pads and are 200% better but make a lot more dust and are starting to squeal. I trust that they won't wear out so quickly.
