He says it is one of the originals. Just had a full engine rebuild. I think he gets it this weekend. I'll try and get some pics of it.

When I had mine a mate had a Dimma Turbo conversion.......purple with cream interior. It was running 200 bhp + and used to eat driveshafts. He stripped the gearbox down and put the 6th gear from a GTi-6 in place of 5th to make the motorway cruise a bit easier.

STi, the original TT conversions were 175bhp, check everything over on the motor, the TT conversion can pop headgaskets coz if the increased heat etc, also make sure the clutch is in good condition, my 309GTi TT ate the first clutch a week after running the engine in. Got a helix motorsport spec one fitted rated at 200bhp and never had any probs.

NTS, Cheers I'll mention that to him. I'm sure he's done his homework but it's good to know what to check

STi wanna subaru,

It wouldn't happen to be a silver one would it? If so it's currently mine........the car owes me about £9k for the full nut and bolt rebuild it has had, and yes it does have the plaque, it does have a racing clutch, a Gp N head gasket and the tyres are brand new (but it will spin them in 4th).

Kev
