Impreza's are uncool for sure these days- I think that's a good thing. Who wants to be seen driving this weeks cool motor? Look at all the sad cases who bought a new beetle for 6 months, realised the image was slipping, eventually moved onto Mini's (now uncool in London as a certain estate agent has hundreds of the things-do you want people to think your one of them) and presumably are now looking for the next bandwagon to jump on.
Believe me the Impreza is still cool in terms of what really counts - the way it goes and the low price. 5 yrs and all the standard classic Imprezas will be regarded as just that- classic.

Why don't you suggest it to TopGear, they might listen. They also might let you demonstrate it on their test track.
"in fact, wouldnt it be good if Top Gear did a programm on Grey Import cars like the Spec C, showing how easy they are to buy and live with, doing a back to back against UK spec cars and letting the Stig give them all a good thrashing. "
I thought it was a fair unbiased test, makes a bit of a change from the usual crap. I think the average driver would find both cars very capable. The Scooby looked great, cant beleive it had so much understeer though!
Was a shame about the Noris Designs Evo.
Things will shift slightly in Mitsi's favour when they release the FQ320 package later this year. There is also Extreme's XT330 (320 bhp, 330ft/lbs) and XT400 (345bhp, 400ft/Ibs!) packages to consider. What have Subaru got to compete with these packages?

When i purchased my Type UK i could have just as easily got an EVO, and withou doubt the EVO is the faster of the 2 cars so why didnt i buy it
2 main reasons
1) The type UK i have (version 7?) suspension is as hard as you can set a car for the roads i drive on with out it upsetting the car, the EVO over the same road was jumping 3 feet from impact with the same bumps
2) and this is the biggest reason for not buying an EVO EVER!!! (or a skyline) as a ham fisted two left feet driving enthusiast i love to drive, yep im crap at it but when im on road or track i like to know its me driving the car. This simply is not the case with the EVO you can do the most stupid things and the cars clever computers will sort it out with almost no input from the driver. Fast - Yes, Driver Controlled Fun driving - No. Maybe ok for the playstation II set but not me.

My m8 had a unique Evo VII Extreme with a 450bhp engine conversion and no drivers aids (built for him by rallart). It was the fastest real world car under 150mph i have ever driven, easily faster than a new 996 turbo sub 150mph.
However one of my requirements for a car was that it had to be brand new and it had to be an official UK car with cross country main dealer support (as its a company car).
but yes i should have qualified my statment to exclude none electrickery 4wd system EVOs
