Headers
#63
I have the same "Funny"header installed on my car. The fitment is not very well. The holes distance for the nuts is not the same, I have to make the holes bigger to fit. Not wide enough!
It looks like an equal length and sounds good. It is very cheap one, so no complain. One point is not good. The pipes go just under the oilfilter. I have not try to remove the filter, but i think this will be a problem. I might be remove the whole header, I hope not!!!

These headers flow very well I achieved 360 ps (indicated ) with 1.5 bar mid-range tailing to 1.15 at redline (max my 440's could handle). Spool point was 200 rpm higher than with Maxim's, but I hadn't finished the timing when the gearbox failed....
However, the set I tried run very close to oil filter as well. They also sit *very* low - first gravel trap will be interesting!
The flexi-joint failed on mine while on track at Dijon - I think due to the poor original fit between header and up-pipe. Mine were also HPC coated. Are they studs in the turbo bracket now? Mine were just bare holes!
I now have a solid up-pipe to try, but I wont refit them until the 2.5 is ready. I'm interested to know how you find them Steven

The seats for the coilovers seized, so the whole lot has to come off, seats need cutting, threads cleaning, copper grease applying, new seats putting on, then rebuild, then put back on car
Taken rear suspension off now, broke 2 sockets doing so, also taken front bumper and headlights off.
Now looking at intercooler pipework, to see what i can alter, if butchering the APS pipework needs to be done, then it will.

Tim, you didn't wait for the pics on pg-1 then
T-uk, Gruppe-s do two types but the other version still retains the bigger bore uppipe AFAIK. The only difference is that it has a 3 bolt flange and some minor tweeks to fit the US bugeye which has a different front impact cradle under the engine. Not sure if the UK bug has this ?
I don't think the big uppipe is bad, I still got good power on it at very low boost, I just think the S/Sport 2" one is slightly better (and it's lighter so that decided it for me )
Steven, is it the MRT one you are going to use ?
