I'm in croydon and pay under a grand fully comp on my S2000. 3 points, 29years old, no claims, garaged.
Won't give my postcode for obvious reasons but try CR0, CR1, CR2 etc.
London postcodes are generally(add to the numbers for the different areas, however two streets near to each other can have rather different insurance ratings) - N1, W1, W1, NW1, SE1, SW1, E1. so try SE2 1AA for example, however, I'd find 'proper' areas that you are likely to move to (if you are considering it!) and make a postcode up from that.

Sod this "what's the rush?"!! - If there's any way that you can get it then go for it!
I'm 21 and at uni but have just bought a new VX220 - it goes without saying it's a big stretch but I can't do as has been recommended by others, I'm impatient and so can't wait until I'm older to buy a nice car.
You're only young once, and money (savings) isn't the be all and end all, so I reckon you should try to go ahead with your plans!
Andy.

I used to think along the old "You're only young once" and "money isn't the be-all and end-all" lines. 7 years later, when I found myself still with crippling debts left over from all the c/cards, etc., etc that I'd built up when I was young, I realised that I'd have been far better off if I'd had a bit more patience.
Out of interest, WTF did you buy the VX220 for? Apart from the fact that it's a crappy ol' Vauxhall why do you even need a sports car at Uni? When I was uni, I was basically p1ssed for 3 years, so it wouldn't have mattered which car I had, I'd never have been able to drive it legally.

What do you mean 'what did you buy a VX220 for'? - You're a bloody Elise driver aren't you?!!
Having a sportscar at uni is as good as having it anywhere else IMO! Doesn't mean I can't afford to still have a few ****-ups
Andy.
