Isle of White trip 2003, anyone?
Well where do we start!
Iain and Ang - thanks for organising AND for our wonderful polos!
Dave and Nic - a brilliant treasure hunt! Many thanks for all the hard work, and for chaperoning us over the weekend.
Barry - for the brilliant Petter Solberg driving impressions, and great to see you unexpectedly.
Kim and Dom (and Ben) - we don't see you often enough, but nice to see you in bits (if you know what I mean).
Subargirl - for making your first public appearance so memorable!!!!!!
HantsScoobies for coming over and making a great day of it Saturday.
The weather for lots of sunshine today and only a few spots yesterday.
The waitress at the hotel for the amusement - although she did not pick up the menu!!!!
YAWN YAWN. Toooo tired to write any more - some one else please continue...........

It was indeed fantastic - in fact, Andy (Splitter) started his own thread about it
Many thanks to Iain and Ang for organising a scooby weekend to somewhere I can practically see from my back room window
and also to Dave and Nic for a very excellent treasure hunt (although there *was* 95 "Slow" markings
).
Special thanks to Maffa and Jen for giving us the answers to a few clues
lol!
and of course thanks to the Hants guys for coming over, especially Ryan our youngest member at 5 1/2 months
and Mark for getting us back to the ferry at 6.58 (literally! - it left at 7! When the ticket guys say's "go quick - lane 6!" you know the slide around the corner onto the ferry is justified
)
(oh, and David, who put up with us for a lovely Chinese until 1:30 am - thanks matey - now get yourself a log in so I've got someone to take the p*ss out of between when we see you
)
Ok - thats enough "thanks" I feel like I've won an oscar
Having trouble uploading the pics, but I'll finish them tomorrow - here's one though (alot more incriminating one's to come)

Jen
P.S. Iain - did you get the t-shirts made? Looking to get some hants one's done, would aprieciate (sp?!) any info

Jen, I'm going to be pedantic...
You mean *WERE* 95 slow markings
Even if there were 95, you'd still have come second.
Peanuts & Mrs Peanuts would have still won by 1/2 a point.
Bizzare!
Oh, and the judges decision is still final
Glad you enjoyed the day. Same time next year?

Thanks guys.
Well we both really enjoyed it and having the day trippers made it even better.
Didn't realise there were so many Scoobs on the Island.
Glad Barry could join us at the last minute. Really made the weekend seeing Keith so happy with his camera (had Barry not turned up he might have turned it on us)

So whos organising next years?

tip top day out, luckily the clutch seems to have stopped slipping and the stench is almost starting to disappear!!
Dyney, can you give me some details on what it looked like from behind to tell my local clutch fixer the symptoms please mate...
still, winning the treasure hunt made it all worthwhile.
next year we will do the whole weekend with you all.
Peanuts (& mrs Peanuts)

Keith, not up to your old tricks again with the waitresses eh?
I remember a few of us doing something similar last year
So, whose car got written on this year then?

Does sound like a lot of fun was had, pity I was not around, but then I usually only cause trouble by making too much noise
Who knows, I might make it back for IOW next year. ok ok, I can hear the groans
lol

Well done Jen as you took 90% of them

Top marks to Iain again for sorting out what looks like another class trip, I know how hard you work on these things
Are you getting ready to do IOW 4?

Matt,
Please tell me exactly what was wrong with the hotel!!
They had a pool and jacuzzi and a bar that stayed open as long as we wanted it
We got our own parking area, a full English in the morning (the most imoptant bit for you I would have thought!) and all for £30 pppn.
Everyone was more than happy with the same hotel last year and was stated as we left in '02 we should use the same again for this year.
I for one want to keep the cost down and a 5 star hotel is well out of my price range!!!
I would have thought you would have been the same.
Sorry if I was wrong in assuming everyone wanted a cheap weekend away

pool? I don't remember any pool, but then I do recall being very very trashed on whatever morning it was, and then us trying to find out the cause of my nice smoking headlamp loom
lol
Seem to also recall we got complaints last year from the hotel over the road about the noise (ahem, wonder who that was?
) so I'm suprised they let you all back in
Think the barmaid last year was pretty cute too!
