Just trawled through this post looks like I was lucky must have ordered mine when they has a load in, only too just over a week and they fitted no problem.
Still a great deal even if the wait is tedious.

Just 2 days to go

 

I was at crossroads this morning, my new F1s, wheels and pads now fitted. Excellent service by David and his team, very friendly and genuine guys, well worth the wait.

He told me that he would be working hard to honour any orders he has for F1s, I believe him. So be patient and I'm sure all will end well. More tyres arriving this Friday.

Hi folks,

Today I received delivery of the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's I ordered on the 13th May. [205/50ZR16]. Had them fitted at lunchtime, so have already had a bit of a play on them

It has to be said, the deal that David Hunt did for me was unbeatable by a LOOOOOONG way. We had a few false starts in the first couple of weeks, with David giving various dates that were not met. We had a slight misunderstanding last weekend in that I arranged to drive down to Rake and have them fitted to find when I got there that the tyres were in Farnham plus David nowhere to be found. We had a discussion after my wasted journey and David agreed to give me a further reduction in price to cover my fuel costs, which was very kind and promised delivery for today which he has met - yippee!

Although the experience with David has been a little rocky, I can say that I will go back to him again. David did his very best for me, even when I got a little angry with him (sorry David). He seems a reasonable man, and can if you're patient, come up with the goods.

Austen_wrx: Yes I was one of the people who received a refund. I had made the original payment on visa, but David has requested that I now pay him via cheque. I don't think the credit card company liked him doing all those refunds

Did he call you, or did you pester him until he gave in?

 

Austen_wrx: A bit of both really. Whenever the due date came I'd be straight on the phone. He did call back a couple of times when he promised to, so I guess it's 50:50.

Bear in mind the tyres I ordered [205/50ZR16] are NOT the ones that have supply problems attached which are the 225/40ZR17 & 225/45ZR17.

 

Who's gonna be first to ring in the mornin then?????????

Called David this morning.
640 Tyres are on their way to the garage from Goodyear, in different sizes.
He will check them off when they arrive to make sure he has the correct sizes, and then allocate and contact the people on his list, in order, on Monday.
There's not much point phoning him till then. He did say he'll be working on Saturday to make sure he's ready for Monday.

A new comer to the site and message board - what a great site loads of info and detail, very helpful.

Just called David and he says he's got a consignment coming in today. Got to call him back this pm once he's sorted existing orders but that my 205/50/16's shouldn't be a problem. Let's hope this is true.

 

Anyone had them yet??? Mine (205/50/16) were due a couple of weeks ago. Won't surprise anyone when I say that they didn't come. I phoned david on the next working day, and was told that Goodyear were delivering on 05/06/03 and that the tyres would be delivered to me on 06/06/03. They've not got here yet. Somehow, I don't think they ever will.

Scoobimax : I ordered my 205/50ZR16 on 13th May and received them yesterday after many phone calls. When did you order yours?

You might find that now David has taken delivery of these 600+ tyres, that physical man hours to shift them out to people is going to be a factor. My advice would be to go & get them rather than wait for delivery coz it leaves David less work to do, so the chances of getting them quicker are higher

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they'll turn up. It's just that if you're in a hurry, like I was you might find the whole process a little frustrating.

Still got a little life left in my Potenza's though.

Will keep everyone posted on how I get on. Can those who've got some tyres through confirm they're GSD3's and not 2's?

I ordered 8 205/50ZR16 Eagle F1 GSD3's and was told delivery would be Monday 12th May. On Monday when nothing arrived I emailed Dave and he told me they would be leaving him on Wednesday 14th May. On Thursday 15th May he sends an email saying he is waiting for TNT and I should get them Friday 16th.

Would you believe it nothing arrived on Friday, then I get an email on Saturday asking for my address. Between then and the 27th May nothing had arrived, so I email again and I am told I should have received an email saying delivery on the 6th June.

Well it's the 6th June and it's nearly 4pm and nothing so far. Fingers crossed.

He said they would refund my money. They havent.

Spoke to Credit Card company, they said they could refund the money if they havent delviered the goods within 30 days of order.

So, looks like i`ll have to sit and wait.
I want the tyres, but looks like i wont get any.

I ordered some 17s on 15 May, told delivery of 6th June which was fine by me.

spoke to David this morning and he said that the container was on its way from Southampton docks, and that he would have check them in etc, and to call back about 3ish.

Called about 3ish, it was diverting to voicemail so i a have left him a message to call me.

I have followed this thread since it started, but somehow still have a strange feeling that he will come up with the goods, so will wait until the beginning of next week as I could well imagine that with a delivery of this size he is pretty busy.

Just hoping i'm not proved wrong
