Banks will generally return post dated cheques but these days I don't think they check ones under £500!

What's the chances that the set of 4 F1 GSD3s in today's special offers for £290 in FARNHAM are connected to this debaccle in some way.
Seem to remember some talk of 'other premises' in Farnham
Tell me I'm wrong please.

Rich Tee
I think that's a bit strong.
I got my 4 tyres on 4/7, after waiting 10 weeks admittedly. I had to drive there from quite away further than Reading on a Friday afternoon, but it was worth it in the end.

You weren't the person who went down there and threatened to knock his block off were you? That sort of behaviour is well out of order, even if you are pi$$ed off.

James I think this has been cleared up in the other thread,

fyi I was not the person who went down there to threatening to "knock his block off", as you will know he is a big man and I wouldnt have fancied my chanced tbh , I met David to obtain my refund, which he wasnt able to give me at the time i was there because his "card machine didnt work" and "his cheque book was in Farnham"

Did you see one of his mechanics? Twice the size of David.

I think you should give the guy a chance with his new business before spreading negative thoughts about him. If he does as he told me then everything should be ok, and everyone will benefit.

jamesjones - What size tyres did you get, and exactly when did you order?

I ordered a set of 215/40 17's back at the beginning of May, and after numerous phone calls, and visiting the garage was finally told by Dave that he had no idea when the tyres would arrive. Because of this I had to go and buy a set at full price. I didn't cancel my order at this point as I was only due to pay £200 and still think this is a good deal (if they ever arrive). I'll be extremely unhappy if people who ordered later than me are getting their orders fulfilled before I do.

Regards
Matthew

James, I have said my bit now, both here and in the other thread, it is only my opinion and my advice, if people want to follow it, then it is up to them.

If anyone want to discuss this further then feel free to mail me offline

Matthew.
I ordered on 28/4 and recieved the 215/40/17 F1's on 4/7. I was about 20th on his list of over 300 people.

I think his intention was to get people their tyres in his list order but after he realised demand was to high for him to handle via couriers, if you were prepared to pick them up on his terms (i.e. when he was there) then you would have got them earlier than others higher up the list.

Thought I'd resurrect this thread !
Has anyone been refunded recently.
No tyres or refund cheque as promised - not answering phone or responding to answerphone - bloody crook !
I put it in dispute with my cc company - so shouldn't be a problem.
How many others in same boat - or worse if u paid by cheque !!

Orderedtyres weeks ago but agreed to pay when despatching. Never heard a thing. Since then only ever spoken to his answer machine. Never a reply from messages - voice or text - and no response to e-mails. Need tyres desperately now so going to go else where and pay a bit more.

Never mind at least I've not lost any money and generally people who live near enough to collect have been satisfied. Bit off more than he appears he can chew and possibly let down by his supplier.

I wouldn't say "satisfied" - no tyres after waiting months isn't a very satisfying experience. Still at least I had a refund on my credit card payment which is better than some.

Hello Scoobyfella/James. I'm in Caernarfon. Where abouts do you live?
