I've phoned around fifteen tyre dealers in my area for some 215 40 17 GS-D3's and none had them in stock and could not get any from goodyear(up to 3 months quoted from one) I tried ATS and Kwik fit and they couldn't get any from their national dealer network either, I ended up getting a pair of GS-D2's which I had on previously
I will be very surprised if they can get any if they dont have any in stock and at that price, one dealer admitted to paying £76 each for them from goodyear

I know what your thinking but everyone on here has got them at a ridiculously low price. £200 or £230 it doesn't really matter they are virtually half price. These are £112.50 each on mytyres.net (who have been my very cheap supplier of late).
I thought it was only supermarkets that did buy-one-get-one-free offers.

I ordered 4 215 40 17's yesterday morning and was told to expect them at the end of this week or beginning of next. How come everybody else got such precise dates? I'll have to give them a ring as I need them, I forgot my MOT runs out!!

guys, I have previously purchased tyres from David and they arrived on time. Got F1's at £65 per tyre and P6000's for my mates beemer for £45.
Bargain. If orders are late it must be done to popularity.
Cheers

Hmmmm....
Not got mine yet. 2 days late.
I phoned Crossroads yesterday who said they tried and failed to deliver on Wednesday. No-one at work refused the delivery. Not sure what's going on.
I phoned again today to get a consignment number for the TNT delivery guys and was told it was on the laptop in the car, and he would get it. 2 hours later no call back with the number. Phoned again and he said he was still getting it. So phoned TNT myself who said they hadn't picked up anything for me from Crossroads in the last few days. Crossroads finally phoned back and apologised and said delivery would be Monday or Tuesday next week.
Now I know they are busy and there maybe good excuses for my tyres not appearing but I wanted to know if anyone else had recieved them. I feel uneasy knowing they have taken my money over a week ago and are stalling on the delivery.

Well I was supposed to get mine today and havent as yet but I am in no hurry to get them on the car so will wait. Will get a bit worried if they dont come by the end of next week as they have taken my money already. I bought on my credit card just to be safe.
From what I have read most people seem more than satisfied with the service from Crossroads. Waiting an extra week or two isnt that bad if you save nearly £200 on set of tyres.
Simon.
