1/8 NPT Gauge Fitting - Sump Plug & Blanking Plug.
I am tapping into the Sump Plug, but nobody seems to supply then ready tapped. Hence I am having to do it myself.
ScoobyMania only do a Main Gallery Adaptor now.

Cheers for that Scott. Sandman- I was going to use the sump adaptor but it seems scoobymania screwed up again and sent me the main gallery adaptor by mistake just like they did with scott. I have to remove the intercooler anyway to fit my knocklink so might as well try and fit it in the engine block while I'm at it.
Main Gallery is smaller. When I compared it to the Sump plug, it looked like the Sump may be M20x1.5 and the Main Gallery is M18x1.5
If I have success with my Sump Plug drilling/tapping, I can probably do one for you if you send me the sump plug.

Scott, many thanks may take you up on your kind offer.I contacted SPA today and they expressed doubts if the sender would read an accurate temp as it would be virtually shrouded by the plug, they dont do a longer probe either, what do you think ?
Not sure, but it's what alot of people do.
You could drill a larger bore hole on the inner part of the plug, therefore getting more oil around the sender.
However, the sump plug appears to be some sort of stainless and did not tap very well.
It has tapped well enough to hold the sensor and does screw up tight, but the thread cut is very rough.
That was with a £20 Tap, which is now damaged. ;(
It may be worth having a chat with LeMans to see if they can make some up out of Brass. Still not sure what thread it is, maybe M19 or M20 (certainly not M18).
I expect if you send them a plug they can match it....

Just to let you all know, I managed to drill/tap a 1/8NPT into a spare sump plug.
It has worked but the thread cut is not very neat due to it being stainless and really requiring a tappered hole.
I am now in communication with LeMans, who are interetsed in producing a Sump Adaptor for the Subaru.
They already do a Main Gallery Plug LMA067 for £3.15 + £2.95 Recorded Delivery + VAT.
If you interested please show your interest here http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadID=206386
I shall forward this post on to them, in order to show levels of interest.
I expect the price will be similar to the above.
P.S ScoobyMania no longer produce these....
