Plugs, air/oil filter, leads, dizzy, oil, engine flush, plugs
only one set of plugs mate (soz just being pedantic!)

Yup - carb/f.i makes no diff for service AFAIK, don't forget the rotar arm for inside the dizzy (my rotar was totally fubared), wouldn't worry too much about the engine flush myself. Might also be worth getting a new fuel filter too, I did (though I haven't got it on yet as the old one is being a bitch to get off!) Can't remember is the XS has a seperate gearbox oil or whether it uses the engine oil - I think its the latter but you better just check mate. Either way, if you do replace the oils, and you think your clutch is on the way out then hold on as you'll have to drain it all again to do the clutch.
Otherwise you are spot on mate. Brake fluid too I suppose if you are going to do that as well.....

A good website is http://www.205gtidrivers.com and the BBS is located here. Despite the name its for any 205 - and a very useful and fairly active source of info mate.

Good luck!

Dream-Weaver, I had an XS years ago great little motors, mind and do the tapets can't remember the settings though, K&N / exhaust and put good plugs and leads on the thing, I converted mine back to leaded fuel when I had it used to beat 1.6GTi's with it.

Cheers all - just got a load of advice from peugeot-gti.net as well Rich D, cheers mate (also frequents here).

Jawa - will do the flush I think - it hasn't been serviced for 3 years (thats my dad for you, nightmare)

Only 75k miles though I remember buying this car years ago, with only 40k miles on it

Prob worth doing the flush then mate 75k is cool, my H plate 1.9 is on 69k so should be a fair bit of life in her yet

Peugeot-gti.net is good, as is peugeotsportclub.com, but I think the 205gtidrivers is good as there is a lot of knowledge on their specifically relating to 205/309 where the others are generic peugeot! Register and come and have a look and say hi

Oh - and get a quickshift Couldn't believe how long the change was after the scoob - I got mine from Griffiths Engineering, 40 odd quid and its adjustable!

You count yourself as two people now then scott?
No - but when there is J in the back, you in the passenger seat, and of course me driving that equates to 3 - or perhaps my maths is still a bit cr@p!

You think the Scooby gear throw is close compared to a 205 - should check out the throw on my current MR2 - about 1" between gears

The XS gearstick feels like a fishing rod after the 2

Neil in which case !

Anyway, the picture still doesn't prove anything! Plus he got me when I was waiting for the turbo to spool up again!

Plus, your fat stomach didn't help matters on the weight of my car!!!!
