John, you will probably need another turbo downpipe, classic downpipes do not clear 6 speed gearboxes, also turbo may interfere considerably more on the 6 speed.

Paul, all I know is that the new age STi aftermarket downpipes have a bigger bend in them to clear the wide 6 speed.

Seems like an ideal time to rotate the turbo JB and give it a decent air feed ?

The downpipe fits no problem at all,

There is no problems mounting the 6speed,all things bolt right up as OE.

GC8 Janspeed downpipe fits straight onto the cars I've been involved in and I would expect the other makes to do the same except maybe twin dumps.

John,

I have Redline Heavy Shock in mine at it is fine (well, as far as I can tell!). It certainly feels a lot better than the OE oil which I used for a couple of thousand miles to start with.

Foglamps, rear seats and spare wheel/jack Harvey alswo mentioned there being a couple of kgs of sound deadening under the backbox's heatshield - yet to investigate on mine.

How easy was the a/c removal? How do you safely de-gas the damned thing? Getting mine done along with front end repairs next week (new a/c cooler...that wont be fitted ).

T-UK,

How about replacing the seats with egg trays? Should still be comfy enough.

I don't think all these weight saving measures are worth it for a daily driver I'd rather flog the car.

Cool

air-con still intact, just winding him up since I have his car at my mercy

did get a rather worried call, this afternoon about it though

tranny jack did not arrive today so looks like monday. could do battle but hoping that we can get some verification about the clutches clamping force first. should have just sent it down to get tested ourselves
