Scoob99 - from what I know airbags only go off in a small percentage of accidents. I have never been comfortable with the bus-sized original steering wheel and really wanted one that was smaller and that offered more feel as to what the front wheels were doing - by having my new wheel I have all of that (plus it looks cool).

At the end of the day I know the risks and realise that in the event of an accident I might have less protection due to not having the airbag anymore - it's a risk I'm prepared to take. (FYI - the passenger airbag still works though).

Cheers
Phil

Phil - not having an airbag prolly makes you drive more safely

Failing that, try the old 6" nail

I think the phrase is - "Where there's no sense, there's no feeling!!!!"

Mind you, the way I drive on occasions I wonder if there's a brain inside at all! (That was joke btw - I am of course a totally law-abiding driver who would never think of driving 1mph over a posted limit)

Cool

The spending of filthy lucre continues (courtesy of Nitosport) - now have one-off gearlever surround, blue alcantara sleeve and new gearknob - finishes the interior off a treat

Just waiting on my STI rear lights to arrive then the RB5 is officially finished.........

Elmer - going full decat makes a BIG difference in performance. However, just had TEK2 remap done to take advantage of this and IMO if you have the decat done might as well go the rest of the way and get a remap as well - trust me, it's worth it!

Ashkay - that's the controller for the DEFI gauges, allows you to set warning levels, see peak readings and record/playback 3mins of gauge readings!

Lookin well smart m8 really is! I'm getting along with mine fine now the new engines in place and dont think i will be selling her now. Not much point really as most of the car has new bits on it.

Got some of those moulded special mudguards to go on just need to get em painted. Next is STI rears and one of those PSI3 thingys instead of DEFI's and im done really. Oh get my wheels recon'd and shes finished. Not messing with the outside of mine too much as i want a standard look. Might invest in some coilovers to drop her slightly. More agressive then me thinks.

Gav - glad you've got over that slight bout of madness about selling the RB5! I can understand wanting to keep the exterior standard (some would say that I've ended up with an STI5 look-alike from what I've done). I think the moulded flaps look very cool and PSI3 panel really looks the business. You gone get all this done by the April meet or NBO?

Just waiting for my STI rears to turn up, can't wait as they clean the rear up so nicely and, yippee, no more tango!

One-lung - here ya go m8
