Well, it's been an expensive month! I've had the following done -

Eibachs Pro-kit springs
Mongoose turbo-back decat exhaust
HKS Superflow panel filter
EBC Grp N Discs/Pads + braided hoses - all above fitted by Tuning Japanese
STI5 Rear Spoiler - DR Motorsport
P1 Lip Spoiler - DR Motorsport
Clear Indicators/De-tangoed
DEFI Gauge pod - fitted by Nitosport
Momo Millenium Wheel/Nitosport Boss
TEK2 - to be done next week

And these are the results..............

RustyFesta 16 February 2003 05:53 PM

needs the STi rear clusters :p

looks

jameswrx 16 February 2003 05:57 PM

Looks good, agree though needs the sti rears

drumsterphil 16 February 2003 06:40 PM

Cheers Guys.

I've been resisting the STI rears but the more I look at the rear the more I hate those UK rears! Guess I'll just have to do it! (and there was me thinking I was finished!)

In for a penny,in for a pound.........as they say!;)

jameswrx 16 February 2003 06:44 PM

Yeah! nice one, probably my favourite mod:)

Ray_li 16 February 2003 10:05 PM

that would be my dream scooby.
GOOD JOB mate.

Ray

rb5 286 16 February 2003 10:10 PM

drumster, have u decided if u want the sti rears?

call paul at TSL and tell him u r in the group buy, u will get them 4 £208

gr8 price.

the splitter looks superb, how much u pay for it?

i got a quote for £150 painted and supplied, genuine subaru part

drumsterphil 16 February 2003 10:12 PM

I'll give Paul a call tomorrow - I sent you an email tonight about the group buy - did you get it?

Cheers
Phil

drumsterphil 16 February 2003 10:14 PM

The splitter was £200 including painting & postage. Fit is excellent.

If you can get a genuine P1 splitter for £150 painted then I'd say go for it!.

Phil

jameswrx 16 February 2003 10:16 PM

I'd second that, better still get the genuine p1 splitter for £150 and sell it for a profit then buy the replica one with the profit thus getting a free spoiler:D

rb5 286 16 February 2003 10:21 PM

just checked mail, ye got it and just call paul m8

good luck

by the way, u have changed colour of wheels havent u?

drumsterphil 16 February 2003 10:34 PM

I had the wheels done just after I bought the car. The previous owner to me had kerbed the wheels to fcuk (and that's being polite!) and so I had them redone. Bit of a saga in the end as couldn't get a match for the orignal colour so ended up going much darker colour. I love it, pics don't really do it justice.

Here's a closer pic of the wheel colour -

PPPscooby 16 February 2003 10:40 PM

hey phil have you got a straight head on view of the car, the pictures on DR motorsport of their version of the P1 lip looked a bit naff, but looks much better on your car.

drumsterphil 16 February 2003 10:45 PM

How about this?......

PPPscooby - you can only call pictures from turbosport if you have paid for a subscription...Scoobynet has which is why you can see them here (if Phil pastes them in correctly :p ) but not if you type it in to your browser ;)

RustyFesta 16 February 2003 11:01 PM

and you needed to edit that post too :p

glad to read things are going better for you than when you were asking the muppets for dating advice ;)

drumsterphil 16 February 2003 11:11 PM

Well, after what I've spent on the car this month, it's still a shed-load cheaper than having a money-grubbing South African girlfriend!!;)Hehe

(But that's not to say that if the right girl came along.......):D

R.B.5. - Noooooo, don't do it!!!

How come you're selling?

Looking at the no. of RB5's for sale at the moment - am I missing something????

BigMikeyBoy 17 February 2003 11:24 PM

Looking good mate!!!
Loved every minute of owning mine, now enjoying the P1. It was a tough decision moving up to the P1 after my smash in the RB5, i think i will always have a soft spot for that model. Cant wait to see it at one of the next meets i see you at!!

Laters

Mikey

PS

My strut brace is still up for grabs!

drumsterphil 18 February 2003 01:42 PM

Hi Mikey!

I'll be at both Boxhill Jap Meet and the next Pease Pottage meet so pretty sure that we'll meet up.

Did send you an email regarding how much you wanted for the strut brace - did you receive it? Going to have to pass on buying it now as I really have spent far too much!:D haha

Catch ya later:)
Phil

Mad 1 18 February 2003 10:31 PM

Drumster
what three defi gauges in the centre, and what colour when lit up?
Look mighty fine!
Paul

drumsterphil 18 February 2003 10:41 PM

The gauges are for Oil Temp, Oil Press and Turbo Boost (bar). The gauges are green when lit as pair the dash lights.

See my incredibly crappy night pic below:D:D-
