RyanB....expensive! Crikey 5 litres of Multiclean for £25. Not only will it clean your engine, but if you read the instructions it will also clean yopur wheels. Other things that I use it for is 1) around the home for the floor and as a general mist on and wipe off cleaner, 2) for cleaning of cabriolet roofs, 3) for cleaning headlings etc etc etc. Thats why people like Gossy The Valeter buy it at 100 litres ago.

Buy 5 ltres and you'll use 500ml to 750ml on the engine bay. The rest you keep for cleaning your wheels.

Graham....yes I am thick skinned and take all in my stride. if you wanted to have 500ml as a trial sample....email me off line with your addy and postcode.

I've seen the results for myself. I watched Mark spend more than eight hours almost without stopping to clean my car. I've also seen the results of his efforts on numerous other cars. Whatever, you think, to come on here and in big letters say that Mark is trying to con people is insulting and untrue.

I wouldn't have said my engine was particularily dirty when Mark started - to be honest, I didn't think he would bother with it. This is the reason I never took photos before he started! It was the results that made me take these shots! Don't waste your time and money on the usual over priced stuff you get at Hal****s go to someone who knows what he is doing - if you want a proper job done.

Choice is yours

Chris

We (Scoty) and I have used Mark's products for a while but had never got round to doing engine bays until recently.

Unfortunately we did not take b4 and after pics, but I guarantee all, that the outcome is astounding!

Scoty's car has lower miles than mine and looked not to bad in the fist place, but my white MY97 with 94k on the clock came up almost as good!!!

Try it people!!!

Cool

I am very sure that Mark does a superb job, I have doubted Wax Wizards claims in the past - but plenty cry his praises and I am not going to dispute those opinions.

However, I washed my engine and bay about 3 months ago, I warmed the engine and squirted 2 cans of Engine Cleaner from the pound shop over everything except the alarm and intercooler fins (which I covered) - left it all for a while to soak then I PowerJet washed it all down with the engine running. Closed the bonnet, left engine running and allowed the steam and cleaner to do its work - result was that the bay and engine looked like when it was new!! For £2!!

I am NOT saying do what I did - plenty would faint in horror - but it DID work and worked well!! Some say that my electrical connections will show signs of water ingress but I was very careful with the target area of the spray lance - mainly aimed at the block and metal parts only! The steam did the rest!

Just my 2pounds worth!

Pete

Phewww!! just got through this thread eventually. I have to say that I get frustrated with trying to clean my engine bay (safely!!) and it can be quite tempting to get the old Karcher on it.....
I would be really appreciative of your email instructions Mark (if you're still following this one) and I also have to say that at the end of the day we are all on here to help each other out.....free information on how to improve your vehicle is a very kind gesture. Thanks Mark.

Ian.

I have not used Mark's products for cleaning my engine bay, but can vouch for all the other kit - it is fantastic - I can get all autoglym products for free, and surely it is testament to Mark's products that I don't, and choose to pay for the Swissol kit, it really is that good!

To all the doubting thomas' - Try it - I assure you that you will be amazed!!

Surely another testament to Mark's products are the amount of people that post in his defence when someone says "con" and "it will not work that well" - and also, look in the members gallery for the amount of "Just had the Swissol/Wax Wizard Treatment" posts!

Mark - You have a customer for life in me mate!!!

Mark....just read this thread and at the very end I find out you are from Swissol!!!! My friend, your reputation proceeds you!

I have heard so very very many good things about Swissol, Mark (now I know who he is) and as yet have never tried any. You're verging on celebrity status amongst some of my more "concourse" orientated friends

Would very much appreciate a copy of your e-mail if you don't mind.

Would also like to point out:
If you can see two engines (one dirty and one clean but in different coloured cars) then people it is called ADVERTISING!!!
You don't really think shampoo adverts on telly are for real do you?
No, you see the worst possible and best possible scenarios.

Thank you, Mark, for being good enough to offer expert and respected advice FOR FREE, and I hope you are not discouraged in doing so in future by a few poor mannered individuals.

hi guys,

ordered some of marks engine bay cleaner and it arrived today. well packaged, and came with a 5 litre jug of cleaner fluid, a spray bottle, degreaser spray, and protector spray.

followed the instructions that came with the stuff. let the engine run for about 10 mins, switched off then sprayed the engine bay quite liberally with the degreaser, then sprayed the cleaner fluid on the engine bay as well. closed the bonnet and sprayed the alloys with the cleaner fluid. hmmm nice orangy smell. let the stuff sit on the wheels and took the power hose to the rest of the car. then washed the wheels with sponge and hot soapy water, along with the rest of the car. opened the engine bay and let the engine have it with the power hose. couldn't believe the crap that came of the underside of the bonnet and the top of the bulkhead. was careful not to spray the alarm or the intercooler but liberally jetted the engine bay. then rinsed the rest of the car. the wheels!! OMG where did that brake dust go, i have never seen them cleaner. opened the engine bay again and liberally sprayed the protector all over the engine bay. then the momemt of truth, i stuck the key in the ignition and she started first time. i proceeded to take the car for a 20 minute jaunt and came back home. it was with trepidation that i opened the bonnet. what can i say. hoses now have a glossy finish to them and the engine bay looks as if you could eat your dinner off it. have to say that i was rather sceptical about the process but the whole thing couldnt be easier. hats of to mark, the engine bay cleaning kit really does its job. i will definately be buying more stuff. just waiting on my samurai starter kit to arrive so i can get her polished as well.

hope some of you have found this informative. thanks mark

cheers

big sinky

I have moved this, because it is more about cleaning the car than any general technical information relating to the car.

Cool

Long gone are the day's of a tub of Gunk and a brush thank's to Mark

We didn't get before pics, but I got a pic of my engine after using Mark's product's (Dougster's engine came up just us well).

Very impresed with the results of the engine cleaner, to the point I would never consider using a different product in future.

Some thing's are for certain, and that is the quality of Mark's gear.
