I have not got the email yet!

I was just wondering if the system that is used is any good.

You say it uses engine laquer, MHO is that this looks cheep and dont last long before it either turns yellow or peels of or both.

As you say not rocket science, don't think anyone was claiming it was.

Using the WW products I thought the results were very impressive though which at the end of the day............

Have not read any of the thread, however we have just done two engines following Mark's instructions and you would NOT believe the results.

I have a MY97 wagon that has never been cleaned, and although not brand new (corrosion etc) now looks superb.

Anyone with any doubts, go for it. The pressure on the hose we used was a little frightening but our highly tuned cars started first time and have ran with NO trouble at all.

ryan...the removal of the parafin wax is nothing. Your engine block etc will be around for many moons to come and well after your cars bodywork has gone to the graveyard. I always apply a non greasey protector afterwards.

Ryan,

In my defence m'lord, I too spotted the engine cleaner had changed the colour and also upgraded the engine...... good stuff eh..

He told me that he was cleaning the two cars at the same time???

itjust happens that he took before pictures of the dirtiest engine and the after of the cleanest(immaculate)

As I look after my engine compartment, I was sceptical on how/if it could come up even better. I am not saying that Marks stuff is sh1te, but it would apear that is best suited to really dirty engines.

If mark cant take a bit of critisium, he should not be in buisiness IMO. like I say CON????

Nasher,

TBF don't think I will be splashing that amount of money for an engine clean.

Some of the comments on here make me laugh. It is lucky that Mark has a thick skin. For those of you who don't know Mark, he is one of the most respected guys on the board. There isn't much he doesn't know about looking after your car. He is the only guy I would trust to do mine. Some of the things he is being accused of are frankly insulting.

Anyway, for all you doubters, the pictures below are of my old car. When Mark did his stuff it was about a year old. The engine had never been cleaned - it was still covered in the horrible green cosmoline that is sprayed over the entire car during transit (you don't even want to know how they remove the stuff at the dockside, Mark will tell you ).

BTW I've no connection to Mark, other than being a satisfied customer. There are some genuine people out there - Mark is one of them, please don't abuse his efforts in trying to help people.

Chris,

I will agree with you your engine compartment and the rest of your car looks stunning, and Mark may well do a fantastic job, but....

when you don't in fact know the person concirned, and when you ask for before and after pictures and get pictures of 2 different cars the before being an older version than the after, I'm afraid that left me very sceptical about the process.

Like I said before the engine compartment in my car is quite clean anyway and all I wanted was some form of evidence that the process could improve it more,(and I would still like to see some genuine before and after pics, if someone could oblige) thats all, Mark chose to bring the Dis to the board, not me.

I guess I wont be on Marks chistmas list when it come to so called freebees.
