I have dug out the engine rebuild bill and in total it cost £9935.23p. Plus £804.61 for 3 port oil breather and £1187.90 for a BTB exhaust.

anyone buying a uk 22B from brand new!

anyone replacing the gearbox on a wrc car!

in the real world I still think scott davies would have it, even from christian, his was broken down into several bills from diffferent people. this isnt how muhc have you spent on your car, this is biggest individual bill.

Not my place to comment on Scotts, but he may choose to post of his own accord. I doubt it though.

Si

I am glad that Willie did the work for you. He is a mate of mine and the one man I trust at Nobles. Unfortunately I am now an S&S convert...

Ask him about his Salsa dancing skills thankfully he knows more about engines...

Would that have been the 22B owned by that little boxer who's brother crashed his car?

WillieF

Couldn't agree enough. The job seems 100% with not a rattle or squeek and he sorted out a number of other little niggles on the car.

If you speak to him pass on my thanks to him.... again

Cheers
Si

Come on then ChristianR .... tell all

And yes I'd like to know about Adam M's bill

Anything that will make me feel better

I paid £3000 for a 998cc Hillman Imp engine rebuild, back in 1988. Does that count?
John

That sure qualifies, as it brought back some very fond memories

Most on one single invoice so far £10,552.48 inc VAT on my 95 WRX Wagon. Imagine the shock when I went to collect the car - I had budgeted for £7,000. Not a Subaru main dealer but a well known performance company.

I could have bought two second hand ones for the price it cost me for the work. Never mind, not planning to sell the car and I'm pleased with the result.
