Anyway, didn't I start this off as a MJ thread?
I ticked the box for e-mail notification when a reply was posted on this thread, checked my mail and it started going crazy. Looked at the thread and theres some constructive views, but half the posts are just general rubbish, no offence intended.
I think SN really needs a flame board for some of you peeps to properly exchange ya views.
Icy.

Just read the MJ thread, some constructive posts and otherwise, just wanted to add my bit, sorry mods.
Since watching the program lastnight I've talked to a few differant people with their differant opinions, and I've come to the conclusion that if people are of the frame of mind to think that the allegation 10 years ago was true, then the whole program further solidified that belief in their minds that he's a menace to kids and should be locked up, whereas the people who think it was a lie what was said 10 years ago, saw the program as a testament to his genuine love for all children.
I think the latter by the way, (obligatory flame-suit on).
One thing that really put me off was the seemingly open-armed friendship coming from MJ to Martin Bashir (MB), and the contempt that MB showed particularly in the cut scenes and in the end interview. For instance, during the commentary MB only reffered to MJ as "Jackson", as if it was a documentary on a violent con like the outspoken and headline hunting con "Charles Bronson". I thought this was derogatory to say the least after pretending with MJ they had some kind of "friendship", and then after that I saw MB as just a phoney journo looking for a story. I don't fully blame MB, after all he's doing a job and has to work within the confines of the wishes of his producers etc, aswell as doing the smart thing for his career, and i think that if and when Trevor MacDonald decides to retire, I wouldn't be surprised to see "The Tonight Show with Martin Bashir" gracing our screens.
On a differant note, if I had over a billion dollars, what would I not buy? We've all thought about what we'd do if we won the lottery, but then what would we do if we won a hundred lotteries?
In a way, his money wasn't wasted anyway, cos every article that MJ buys will probably be worth twice as much on the collectors market after his death, and if some of those proceeds went to charities that would be some compensation.
Me personally I would balance silly spending like that with silly charity donations so I could sleep at night, but I think there are probably a few MJ finaced charity organisations benefiting aswell.
I'm not saying MJ is a saint, I've read some stories in the past about court cases against him over unpaid bills for stupid things, and I think one was something to do with forcing someone out or business or something. Not altogether the acts of a kindly man who wants to love everybody and bring peace and love to the world, but I do think overall, despite his odd behaviour, we wouldn't be any worse off if there were a few more MJ's in the world.
Rant over.
Icy.

Good grief, its not personal u know, why always take it that way, *cino* could be a thousand miles away or on another planet for all I care.
This is an open forum, and as such debates can take any form they like as long as they sticks to the SN T&C, this includes telling someone they are naive IMO. Read that again. IMO. Can I make it any clearer?
Serioulsy you lot need to get a grip with the 'lets all hold hands and chant ommmm together' s**t.
Can you seriously imagine a couple of MP's arguing about a topical subject and one saying to the other who he thinks is naive, 'hey old bean, I think your being a bit, ooops sorry, I shouldnt say that'.
GET A GRIP.......... before this goes OT yet again, its my view thats cino's naive so learn to live with it, tell me why she aint naive or just plain dont reply, tis easy.

Could someone please tell me why people are still bothering to reply to such a blatant trouble-making troll? From what I've seen, none of his posts deserve a response. In fact, most of them don't deserve the time it takes to read them.
I don't accept that any of the rubbish that Jye_0 spouts is actually what he believes. IMO he says what he thinks will incite the biggest row. Frankly boring, and not worth my time.
My advice is to ignore him. I do. I just wish there was a policy to ban such stirrers from the board.

No worries *Cino*, though i'd stick up for anyone being subjected to such arrogance. Arrogance and ignorance go hand in hand, unfortunately.

Hmm. Obviously by Ima's profile there is some history here, but forgetting this, Cino, do you think if you did some work for the VSO, perhaps in Africa that you would have the same happy view of this happy planet? Just wondering.
