The ECU becomes too busy to chat at some points in the rev range. All you can do is reduce the number of logged parameters until the ECU is willing to devote enough time for the amount of data.
To drop your capture interval to below 200ms is a different issue. Simply drop the number of logged parameters until the capture interval reduces to what you want.

The differences you are seeing are rounding errors. The ECU returns pressure in 0.15 PSI increments. DeltaDash then rounds to 1 decimal place. We're going a bit off the dyno topic now though.

Star's rollers are taking 35 seconds approx (fixed) to run from 2500 to 6500 under WOT in any gear. On the road my car does this increment in about ONE FIFTH of this time in 3rd gear.

On the rolling road runs I've done, I've never seen as high boost on the rollers as I do on the road. Last PowerStation run was about 16.5psi max, 16psi held (MY00 PPP) but on the road with the same ambient temperature, I've seen a peak of nearly 20psi and held 17.5psi. Gauge confirmed as being consistent with ECU readings by PS.
A difference of 1.5-2psi will be a difference of up to 10-20lbft torque, and possibly the same in peak power?
It's worth noting that because of the tests to confirm the boost gauge accuracy, the car had been on the rollers for about 5 minutes or so with about 3 full throttle runs before the actual power run. My thoughts are the engine was running rather hot by this point which is why the boost was less, and I bet the intake temperatures were rather higher.
Talking to Mike Wood at the Prodrive Live thing this time last year, he was explaining about rollers vs. real life in a bit more detail. He was saying that the situation is different on the rollers to real life (which we all know anyway ) because it's also down to the aerodynamics and air flow around the car, which causes better cooling and also different cooling to just sticking a fan in front of the car. He said that the only way to accurately simulate a real-life run is to take it to Mira and stick it in the wind tunnel, which makes sense!
The difference in Star rollers vs DeltaDash etc is interesting and a little concerning...
Anyway I'll carry on watching this thread... extremely interesting "Old Skool Scoobynet" thread .

That is an excellent result ! I wonder how much difference the manifold made. Without the manifold I would assume that 260 whp and 255 ft. lbs. would be reasonable with just a catless zorst and ecutek remap on a JDM STI-7 ?

Here you go John. Your graph was very similar (he had you ever so slightly, but I guess that is due to your biggger turbo and at the top you gained on him nicely) until about 4,000 rpms where your car kept pulling

The manifold setup is giving about 16 BHP more than the average of the runs for the map I did the 2 days ago, but I was using 0.35 for drag rather than 0.37. Sounds like running similar boost.

Ok I did a little quick calculations for fun
STI-7 JDM ES tuned:
281 whp x 1.3 = EST: 365 bhp
1430 kg weight = 3,160 lbs / 2,000 lbs (1 ton) = 1.58 tons
Power to weight = 365 / 1.58 = 231
Brand new 911 turbo (specs per USA web site):
420 bhp
1540 kg weight = 3,403 lbs / 2,000 lbs (1 ton) = 1.701 tons
Power to weight = 420 / 1.701 = 246
John Banks mean machine:
320 whp x 1.3 = EST: 416 bhp
1250 ??kg weight = 2,763 lbs / 2,000 lbs (1 ton) = 1.381 tons
Power to weight = 416 / 1.381 = 301 crazy !!
and for fun:
Brand new 911 GT2 (specs per USA web site):
456 bhp
1420 kg weight = 3,138 lbs / 2,000 lbs (1 ton) = 1.569 tons

I think you are overestimating my power though. 1.3 is a strong multiplier, and I would say it is more like 315 BHP at the wheels, so about 380 BHP flywheel.

Any difference would be sorted on the straight aways due to the 50 bhp per ton advantage as far as handling, don't forget John's car is lighter as well

I think the manifold brings about 20 - 25 BHP (flywheel) at the same boost. I got about the same figures with 0.15 bars less boost compared to the std. manifold. Unfortunately I am maxing out the injectors from 5.500 RPM, so this will be the limit for now.
The car is a joy to drive, it is on full boost from 3100 RPM in 4th gear and it´s very responsive.
I took the owner of a BMW M3 E46 for a drive and he was realy impressed (mainly by the torque). A back to back comparison with this car will follow.
We are waiting for some 650 cc injectors. These will be fitted combined with a decent turbo..........
