80's/90's Metal forever, all this Oasis crap can sod off as far as I'm concerned.

/J[/B]

well said 007-but don't forget 70s' metal!!Was a blasbphemy to like metal in those days-the heavy rock boys were very snobby, all the Zep and Purple fans turned their snobby noses up!!
I liked both btw and I wouldn't classify Stone Roses with Oasis ,diff league imo!!

grunge, garbage etc owe it all to .........Lemmy!!! "dancing with the devil its all the same to me........"

Ah, now that's one I haven't got.
No-one has mentioned Hanoi Rocks I notice. Bit of an aquired taste, I hated them at first, but they have to be the best Finnish rock group ever!
Some of Mike Monroe's solo stuff was pretty good as well, I liked the Jerusalem Slim stuff.

If you really like rocking out to Supertramp I can understand why you do it in the car on your own!

Who said I would be on my own - in fact most music whilst driving sessions involve the other half - good thing she's got impeccable taste as well ...

Graham Bonnet was the Since You've Been Gone singer. Went on to do an album with Michael Schenker and then form Alcatraz with Yngwie (then unheard of) Malmsteen. Not a bad line line up of guitarists to have worked with.

What do you reckon dave, seems to be a definite connection between fast cars and fast guitars across all forums.

its why scoobynet has the advantage for me-they expect a bit of crap to be posted and no-one gets upset, theres always another 27 forums to have a go at!!

Scoobynet should have a music forum!!

Dave,

Yeah, Chris Rea - found out the name of the song - called Auberge.

Also, another top album I forgot to mention is:

St Germain - Tourist. Sort of music you chill to. Even parents and grandparents like it. You must buy it - you won't be disappointed.

Cheers,
Tom

some-one mentioned Pink Floyd. Try 'Arnold Lane' if you have a large sub-woofer in the car; absolutely awesome (ignore the lyrics, however).

and for something more mellow - Morning Dew by Tim Rose.

My top picks at the moment.
