Doesanyone know about the calibration of a laser trap? I thought they weren't calibrated over a certain speed, possibly 155mph

I can't believe there are such tw*ts on the road.

Just as unbelievable is that some people seem to think driving at such speeds is big and clever.

Personally, I'm just glad you were banded - at least there is one less on the roads for 4 years.

A ban is much better than prison - 6 months sentence = 2-3 months inside (if you behave yourself - i.e. don't get done for speeding in the exercise yard!!!!). 4 year ban = 4 years.

Happy driving everyone.

From a careful driver who loves life!!!!!

162........You are a complete tw@t. If you did what you said then you deserve everything you get. The roads in this country are there for the people to use to get from one place to another..not as your personal race track/testing ground.

If something run out in front of you or another roaduser had changed lanes then you would not have been able to react in time to stop the accident.

If you wish to remove yourself from the gene pool (Which I think is a great idea in your case) then please find a suitable method. May I suggest Beachy Head. Do not endanger the lives of innocent road users and deny a family the right to see their family members ever again just because you feel tha it is big or clever to behave like a idiot.

You should have been banned for fecking life and given a 5-10 years prison sentence for your actions. Your behaviour was paramount to Attempted Murder.

Grow up before you do something that will effectyou and others for the rest of your and their lives.

hahaha what a bad liar, if this was true ud be the biggest ****ing **** on the planet coz if the police turned up on my doorstep the next morning saying they clocked me at 162 on the motorway id say dunno what ur talkin about m8 the car was parked here all night someone must have had clone plates on one. Id then turn up in court with a bunch of witnesses to say i was down the pub.

Grow up and stop bull****ting, if they were making an example of u then seeing u broke the record for speedprosecution on a uk road youd be being buggered by a man called big dave by now because they can impose prison sentances for ridiculous speeding now

i guy in the town i live in got caught doing 100+ in a 30 and that was never in the papers.
But seeing as you're from Bull**itsville, Nebraska I'd imagine everyone in your town adds 90mph onto whatever speed they were actually doing when telling their stories down the boozer.

Complete hairy dangly b#lls. There is no way they would have got a successful prosecution with a Laser/Radar gun for 162mph.
Also nobody has picked up on the time of this alleged offence, why would the police set up a speed trap in the early hours of the morning when you have admitted there was no traffic around, just on the off chance of catching some doughnut in his Pen*s 1 (Sorry P1)having fun.
It doesnt add up,me thinks in the wee early morning YOU were still asleep dreaming of 162 in a P1.
Still the thread made me laugh.

And why won't you reply to emails about your imaginary car for sale.

April 1st is a long ways off.

Is it because mum takes away your internet privileges during school term?

You're a prized tonsil (complete waste of skin).

As for guessing what you did 6 monthsw ago I would like to hazard started growing pubic hair?

Nothing very legendary about an airhead like you risking innocent people's lives.

Maybe you should be more concerned whether your liver will last until the 4 years is up!

And it was a biker:

"BIKER CLOCKED AT 157MPH"

And this muppet rightly got a custodial sentence. Bet he wont be taking a shower for a while!

what gets me so wound up is if you go to germany on the autobahn(spelling?)you can go hell for leather, the accident rate is not out of this world for these roads .
i concentrate much more at 85mph than 70mph , i also find on the motorway you go into the inside lane and do between 50-65, middle lane think of a number between 60 and 85 and watch out for the lorrys cuting you up, outside lane 80+ , then you put a police car or revenue van, sorry saftey camera van on a bridge or lay-by everyone brakes and look more accidents.

coppers should get the thiefing gits who rob old folk and nick cars.
if you rob a house you have a pretty good chance of getting away with it, sorry sir have a crime number claim off your insurance and we may get your stuff back if we are lucky.

Have you seen the gear ratio Norris designs have launched for the evo 3-8, you can do 0-50 in first gear then go on to do 188mph (not without exploding!!) its meant to give you better mpg as well.

all for £1200!

Sounds good but I doubt 161 in a P1's pocket money will stretch to that. He'd need to get a paper round aswell.

Totally agree with spanners last post.

There is a sign in Devon that says:

"256 vehicles caught speeding" or words to that effect and someone has written underneath:

"and no burglars"

Just a quote from earlier

No one finds it the least bit impressive I can assure you.
I find it quite funny as all the post previous to this are basically congratulating him for it....

With regards to the tyre blowout I have one blow at about 105 in my old Escort RS4x4. Got a piece of flint straight through the side of the tyre wall, a cut about 3inches long. Tyre deflated instantly mid bend. Car went round the bend no problems and just backed off the throttle and slowly came to a stop. No problems at all. But then again I've seen cars flip over after loosing control from a blowout at 35mph. It just goes to show anything can happen, I guess you can be lucky or unlucky.
