Sorry about that folks, when I tried to start the server during the day WON was down so the server couldn't initialise. I left it until I got home only to find that my cable was down so I had no connectivity

I'll get the server up and running at some point today and leave it up 24/7 from now on

I thought about letting the server run all the time, but it would dilute the quality of a wednesday night - you'd end up with a few low turnout evenings rather than a tasty frag-fest !

Remember you need all the bonus packs to connect !!

 

Ive got all 4 bonus packs (thanks Dean ), I have unzipped all 4, and thought that was it. Obviously not

anyone know what Ive done wrong, never had problems patching before!

Robski you've worried me now - Missed last 2 weeks so don't know if I will be able to connect.

Lee - When will the server be up - may need to check first that all is OK ?

Playing with new machine tonight. I'll be interested to see what difference it makes. I've had a fair amount of trouble keeping the heat from my non-overclocked 950 under control. Did see 64deg. Now have a small turbine on top of the Heat Sink and it doesn't go over 49deg no matter what I throw at it. And stays around 45 under normal heavy load (S/W DVD, Seti etc.)

<uninstall everything>

1. Install UT from CD
2. Install 436 patch
3. Install bonus packs.

if you're umod installer isn't working it may be cos you just copied the unreal directory off a different place/PC ? There is a registry hack for this I believe.

 

Hmm - I'm getting a package 'de' version mismatch - any ideas?

Solution, go to PC world and buy a new copy.
Was already version 4.36 patch ok and everything.

So I now have counterstrike. Wimped out of the downloads and bought a pack with Half Life/Opposing force/Counter strike. I've done the extensive COunter-Strike training mission .... But there doesn't seem to be an option to play with yourself (!) and some Bots to practice.

So Is C/S on tonight and Don't all kill me at once !

I generally only play the UT mod Tactical Ops, which is very similar. Give it a try, all you UT types:
