I like colour coded side/rear skirts

But...

What have I done? Is this really so..er...naf? Does my car now look like pooh? Will you lot mock when you see my Scoob?

I'm not coming anywhere near you lot! "raspberries!!!!"

Oh dear, was so looking forward to Donno, too ashamed to come now....

Yours embarassedly,(a new word for the English dictionary, specifically for Scooby owners with colour coded side & rear skirts)

Kevin

ps. JACKDENON....snap, agree with you on the colour. Is it just me, or are Scoobys rarer in red?

Thumbs down

A few points
1 Kevin I think you need help....
(sorry,don't mean it)
2 Anyone else bored sh*tless by smiles what a yawn.
3 I for one will go for a UK car next time
I currently run an Sti2 with a P.E. phase 1 and all the performance toys with 310 bhp and 289lbs of torque on the road it appears to be no faster and indeed slower than pretty standard UK models.
4 From personnal experience dont kid yourself that an after market warrenty is going to replace a subaru one, they are all complete pants and will wriggle out of any major claim unless you chase them through the courts.
5 I am a lazy git and cannot be bothered with all the paperwork ,waiting and travelling as well as re-sale problems etc ,etc.

Cool

I shal keep my my00 import (not actualy an import if bought within EU technicly ) for 3 years or more, by that time . the debatable warranty problem is a non issue . and the lack of a "2000 TURBO " sticker is the only difference between my car and a Uk car , So what do you think the difference in price will be ?
Answer the cost of that sticker !!!!!!
Condition and FSSH are the only factors anyone will care about . and if in the mean time I were to invest the £5000+ I saved , I could buy the sticker with the interest

I have a Sti and had a problem with my clutch master cylinder and the warranty company said I had to take to so and so garage. I did not and took it some place else because I wanted to. They said they would pay 30 pounds or so plus parts and the place I took it to would charge 60 pounds. So I said I would pay the difference. Fixed not problem. They sent me the check.... all done. I am sure it was a little more difficult then taking it to the dealer but I can't even take my car to the dealer. But that is another story.

KevinW, colour coded skirts says a lot about the car's owner as does a white painted dashboard. When are you having yours done?

The best looking cars are the standard ones unless you have a subscription to Revs magazine.

I do agree with you on red. Sets off the car better than any other colour and quite rare. I like the contrast between the red and the black skirts :~)

ed, yes the

Mr Masters,

Can't convert you eh? Well at least we agree on the colour! I can appreciate the contrast thingy, but in a quest for some individualism, colour coded seemed the way to go (and I still like it!) Going to Donno? If so and you see a red Scoob 'K9VYN', please introduce yourself.

Hello to everyone, I have been following a few of the threads related to this issue and I think people in the UK should feel happy to have access to European imports, japanese imports and UK models. At least you have the choice to choose any model or price you want.I live in Spain and when I bought my Impreza turbo the only option I had was the colour of the car, either silver or DBM, nothing else.
My car cost me 18.900 GBP with 3 year warranty and comes with aircon and sunroof, but it has no dealer options at all, they have not even heard of aftermarket exhausts or air filters.
So I wish I could get an 22B or an STI in lefthand drive, but I do not have that choice.
Is important to realize that this boom in importing cars into the UK is due to the pound being so strong against other currencies at the moment.
