Not really pointless, but something that was bothering me whilst watching Deep Impact last night:
If someone is blind, do they have dreams???
What if they were born sighted??
etc etc ??

People who are blind still dream. However, just as in real-life, their dreams may involve no visual component - instead they experience the other senses during dreaming.
The key to whether blind people have a visual component to their dream is when they lost their sight. If a person loses their sight around the age of five, it is unlikely that they will experience visuals in a dream. However, any older than this and the chances increase rapidly since the mind can draw upon the memory to help reconstruct images.

Will they lose this over time? i.e. if they went blind after about 10 years, will they eventually lose their ability to construct images from the past?
And how do you know this?
And how come this thread has never gone the way of the muppet, even though it is a good one?
