Had solid rear links and 22mm antiroll fitted earlier this week (already had the WRX Eibachs) on a 2002 WRX.

Car feels noticeably more eager to turn in and I'm yet to make it understeer. Japfest will be the true test.

Don't worry of it's 20 or 25mm lower! Drive the car at the limit on a circuit and you will appreciate what your paying for. (Prodrive expertise). These springs do exactly what it says on the box, they don’t compromise the normal road ride, but, on the circuit or fast road use they are every progressive and reduce body roll considerably. You can carry noticeably more speed through twisty bits (Knickerbrook) when compared to the standard set up.

The big plus you keep your warranty!

Prodrive do have some history in motorsport!

Steve,
Will be interesting to see who makes the new Springs for Prodrive !!!!! 'Eibachs' 'MRT' or 'Another' as IIRC the Sti8 spring kit Won't be made by Eibach.

I believe IMHO the Eibach STi7 spring kits have be a source of embaressment to Prodrive.

Tony

ps
I have been offer silly money for my springs and there not for sale

Why Tony? Have Subaru run out already?

I had mine fitted at Powerstation on Saturday and I have to say, my initial impressions are very good!!!

Matt,
I think Mike Wood is in a lock up spraying the Old Blue Eibach spring sets RED LOL

Mind you I have found the spring Bl**dy great and I don't suppose it really matters who actually makes them as they will be made to the same Prodrive Spec

Tony

Ps Matt I have the chance for a Quick rack of a STi8 any advantages for Tarmac ??? I only tend to go on loose when overshoot corners at the Ring, nickname now Lawnmower man

Tony,
Are you saying that the springs (Sti7) will not be made by Eibach?
Is that why there is a delay for re-stocking?
I presume that the Powerstation springs will not be Prodrive, but may be Eibach.

Confused? I'm not sure. LOL

Just a note.. the front springs on the MY02 and MY03 are the same, it's just that the top of the rear struts on the MY03 is different... requiring different rear springs.

Steve,
Yes I was using a Terminal from Work I beleive from another Tread that the initial amount IM had were 12 and next batch mid June.

So 16 months on and circa 1000 STi7's sold they have managed to sell to 1% of the cars hope they acheive better results on MY03>

Gerrod,
Yes I think yor correct

Tony,

I guess the massive delay killed sales for Prodrive, as people would have bought Eibach, or an STi8, by the time the STi7 springs were available.

Tony,

I believe the STi 8 has the same rack as the 7 so I don't think it is any quicker!

Which corner did you do your Lawnmower Man impression at the Ring? Adernaur Forst? (tip: go slowly until you know where you are going (works for me ))

Matt,
Cheers I wasn't sure again
IIRC the STD Rack was a 3.2 Lock to lock and Quick Rack was 2.5 Lock to lock.

There was some debate last year that Sti7/8 racks were STD 3.2 but with a reduced turning circle 2.7 turns(steering arm stops) due to larger wheel sizes and rubbing issues. Therefore not a quick rack!!! Maybe you could clarifiy as I am confused again

I do have a list of excuse's though I was trying to overtake a biker who stole the apex and pushed me out wide(video proof) I had a overwieght biker sat next to me(with Video) and off balanced the car, there a full moon, the sun was glaring or a just a Plonker driving LOL

James,

I know some roads round my way where you can roll the whole car yes some very lardy garlic sausage munchers

Not much difference in ride height if any, slightly better ride quality, but really not worth the 6 month wait tbh.

Mark.
I have been lead to believe that, although Front Struts and top mounts are Diffrent part No's, the Front springs are the same dimensions it is the Rears Springs that are different to accomedate the different top mounts IIRC

So you only need the one set STi7

ask your Dealer to check with Prodrive or Subaru I am fairly certain it is the case

my way of thinking is that i now have 3 sti7 springs, 1 sti8 spring and topmount if you see what i mean, meaning that i will need sti8 springs and 1 topmount for the off side rear ?

Mark,

Very Sorry I read your post in a hurry this morning(you'll get old one day)

I missread as NSF and not NSR. Really they need to make the other rear the same then you will need MY03 spring kit

Apart from the fact that the car looks better, what are the improvements in the ride/handling Gerrod?
