Strikers are great cars for the bike engines, tiny weight, and a chassis that has won many races in class with the 750 motor club.
Have been out on track in my brother's Fisher Fury (modified 2 litre Zetec), trading lap times with a Caterham Superlight R, and comfortably thrashing several Elise's. A bloke turned up with a lightweight striker fireblade weighing not much over 300kg, with slicks and a few other "benefits". Must have been at least 5 seconds a lap quicker than us, hardly saw which way it went. Sure, he was a much better driver than me which helped lots, but it was an awesome machine.

Assuming your Westie will be on track, get a proper roll bar *please*.
That one is as much use as a choccie fireguard, and I bet your head is either higher than it or around the same level.

The piccies above were apparently caused by him taking a corner quickly, perhaps too quickly as he'd only had the car a few days, when he hit a wet patch in the road and went onto the soft verge and, if memory serves me correctly, ended up digging the car in, hitting a dry stone wall and ending up upside down.
SteveD - Gordon, the owner / driver of the car in the piccies, was quite badly injured and had extensive arm and facial injuries.
Fortunately he's made a nigh on perfect recovery - apparently he's still not quite got 100% use of one of his arms but the skin grafts worked fine and, by all accounts, he considers himself to be a very lucky chap. He even expressed an interest in getting another se7en at one point !
I have an RAC bar as a direct result of those pictures.

Have an FIAA bar in the plans before heavy track use, but, advantage of only being 5'5 and using Tillet 'flat on the floor' seats, is that my head is several inches below the bar, AND below the top of the Tillets which are alone strong enough to support the car!
It's you tall-ies that have the problems
