I must say I agree with the sentiments laid down by Spudgun and others. Give Harj a break guys. Sure, some of the banter was pretty funny but it's now got a bit personal for my tastes.

I know Harj is plenty big enough to stick up for himself. I fully expect all those who cast disbelieving stones in his direction to be excluded from having rides in the 550. If for some reason it does'nt turn up and there are a hundred legitimate reasons why that can be I won't be one of those crowing over it.

If(big) it's fiction then let's enjoy the thought of owning such a car(it's the most that a lot of us can expect) if it's not. bagsy next in the queue for a ride.

There is a 360 Modena crash-damaged for sale for 30k at a breaker's on the web (no I am NOT telling you where, I might get it myself!). If I was Harj I'd be tempted to bet you all 3 grand that I'd turn up in a Ferrari 360 on your doorstep on Christmas day, then buy the knackered Ferrari, get it fixed, take a whistlestop tour of the UK on the 25th of December, and the car would not only pay for itself but from the amount of quipping posts here I'd become a millionaire overnight! Hell, if I was Bill Gates I'd be tempted to donate a 360 to Harj just to shut you lot up!

I have to say we are all guilty (well most of us who are not loaded) every now again, about bragging about getting a car. I have done it.

Admittedly i wouldnt put a post on BBS about unless i was gonna get it.
Harj has put a deposit down on one, he may get it he may not. I put a deposit on a car told my mates i was getting it then bought something sensible .

I am gonna get an Exige and a R34 one day, proberly for not a few years, but i will get them. Quote me 4 years tops
David B you are a very lucky guy.

Harj has done many things, and helped me out on many occasion, so to those who don't know he is pretty sound guy. He does tell a few porkies thou, but hey we are not all perfect.

Most of the comments are IMO, relating to the fact that a certain person has made a lot of "boasts" about buying a lot of different cars and they have, for whatever reason, failed to appear.

I'm sure theres a story behind the other comments but that's their business and I'm not interested.

I think it's just become a "Cry Wolf" scenario unfortunately.....

Hmm...there seem to be a lot of posts on this thread which have subsequently been edited. All of dingy's for example -- and I remember what they said beforehand. Bizarre.

Including this one it would seem. I just wanted to add that looking at stat's and harry flatter's profiles I'm surprised neither of them are into dogs and fishing, although harry flatter does sound a bit like harry potter

Not meant as a dig at anybody....

I know a lot of the stories. You are spot on about crying wolf, just that in the story the wolf actually came when the villagers did'nt expect it. I for one are prepared to give Harj the benefit of the doubt in this and I'd do that for anyone, no matter the rumours or stories.

IF i'm wrong and it is BS then so what, it's cost me nothing but the chance to speak up for a mate no matter his or her past history.
