Not sure how women are having more affairs than men.. I thought they generally involved a representative of both genders!

LOL at Mak. What a story.

Damian, I'm also confused by your story. If you needed to ask, then surely it was a passionate kiss with someone you fancied. If so, what could be more sexually charged? Your rules, nothing wrong with that, but curious all the same.

Anyway, my wife was married to someone else when I met her, so who am I to question

Also, a word of warning... I had an affair with a stunning bird, years ago (first marriage). Got caught and had to choose (I was given the choice). Ended up moving in with the totty. What a mistake. Sexy bird but a nightmare bitch from hell. No wonder I stood a chance, everyone else must have known what she was like

I just window shop now.

LOL at Pete

Tricky one this, but like many it appears, I too have been through it - married for 10 years...always looking around as desperately unhappy, then bang (as it were ) found what I was looking for and have been happy, if broke, ever since.

Wouldn't give affair / one night stand a thought now as no-one else could offer me what I have.

I think it's been said before, if there is something wrong in a relationship, then these things will happen. If you're married, FFS try and resolve issues and work things thro before it's too far gone cos it is the worst, and most expensive, experience of my life !

I guess the moral of the story is, only window shop / try on for size if you can afford to buy !

Just my 2p's worth lol

No...this relates to a problem where bloody women think they can do whatever they want and blame drink, an argument or whatever they want to get back into your life!

I made a mistake in the car and got away with it....I'm lucky! I could have so easily made that mistake, hit a tree and died. My point is this, there are some mistakes in life you just can't afford to make....not even once!!! FULL STOP.

Came home from work (about 7 years ago this was) to find my mate ******** the wife...

Still, life goes on and I never had the heart to tell her I had been ******** her best mate for the previous four years, including on our wedding day...
And you wonder why she was ******** your mate?

Honestly, it's like a bloomin' soap opera in here.

He's got a point actually! I knew a lass that was quite happy to cheat because her man was 'into his cars and doesn't pay me much attention'

Sobering thought huh

Markus/Pete

The two main things about having an affair are infidelity and the lying. Our relationship is strong because we would never lie to each other (well, I can only speak for myself I suppose) but there is no jealousy and no 'secrets'. At the time, and indeed now, we know that what we did and will probably do again is not a long term thing - we were all friends in the group and still are. I think if you can trust your partner enough to go so far and no further you are in a stronger position as you have both set acceptable limits. In any other previous relationship, if my GF had gone out on a Friday etc I would be **** scared she is pulling somebody else.

The trust we have built up in our relationship means that I don’t worry any more. I think it’s great that other men look at her - it means that I made a good choice!

The fact that the kiss was passionate or not is almost irrelevant as we had both set our limits as to what was OK - kissing and no further.

well put!

Trust, that's the key factor here, if you can totally and uttlerly trust your partner and share all your secrets then you should have no problems, it's when you don't trust them and keep secrets from them that problems can arise.
