Everyone is welcome to come and have a nosey. It's not often you get so many extreme machines in one place at the same time.
Things will kick off at 9.30 ish, so could the first few runners be there early please.
Just in case anyone misses my welcome introduction:
PLEASE CHECK YOUR OIL AND WATER BEFORE YOU RUN.
THE RUN IS £25 PAYABLE TO THE OPERATOR WHEN YOU DRIVE YOUR CAR ON.
RUNNING IS AT YOUR OWN RISK, IF THE CAR BLOWS ON THE ROLLERS, WELL LANE (AND I) TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY.
STAY AWAY FROM THE ROLLERS WHEN THE CAR IS MOVING. DON'T WANT ANYONE LOSING A LEG (ESPECIALLY IF IT'S WET AND SLIPPY) AND DON'T STAND DIRECTLY BEHIND THE CAR'S WHEELS AS STONES STUCK IN TYRES CAN SOMEIMES FLY OUT AT 7000RPM!
ENJOY YOURSELVES!
Cheers
Rich

Just to let you all know that there are some long term road works on Bradford Road, This is the road that is at the bottom of well lane and can only access well lane from the Bradford direction. (One way traffic only) People attending from other directions can either follow the diversion route or if you know it, drop down from Batley town centre. Hope this helps. See you all there. Ady.

Ady,
Can you post up directions from the lights where you would normally turn left into Bradford Road, into Batley centre and into Well Lane via the top road as I only know the Bradford Road way?
Cheers
Rich

Hi Rich, the best way for me to give directions is if people log onto Multimap.com and type in directions from there starting point then type in there destination point which is..Well lane turbo centre well lane, batley, WF17 SHQ Then enlarge the map around the Well lane area, This will then allow you to see in greater detail the best way to go avoiding Bradford Rd. Hope this helps everyone. Ady.

I know this sounds sad, but is anyone bringing a video camera with them? if so, could you, if possible, film my car going on to the rollers and the whole time it is on the rollers? and the coming off?
As I don't have access to a video camera, and I want more than just photos.
Thanks

Here's some directions I've scrawled down that will get you all there avoiding the roadworks (I hope).
USE THE ALTERNATIVE DIRECTIONS.
Hopefully we'll all find it.
Directions to Well Lane
from M62 Westbound
Exit Motorway at J27. At the roundabout take the first exit. Then go to *
From M62 Eastbound
Exit Motorway at J27. As slip road splits take the left fork.
Follow slip road until it gives way onto a dual carriage way, just before a roundabout. Get across into the right hand lane and go right round the roundabout doubling back on yourself down the other side of the dual carriage way. At the roundabout take the first exit (straight over) then go to *
*
At the next small roundabout go straight over and continue through several sets of lights until you come to a set of lights with a car sales garage next to them on the left. Go straight through these lights and hard left at the next set. You are now on Bradford Road. Follow this for about 2 miles until you see a petrol station on your left. Just further down on the right is a pub called the Talbot. Turn right up by the side of the Talbot and you are on Well Lane.
Alternative directions:
Where you would turn hard left into Bradford Road, go straight on and take the 2nd left into White Lee Road. Take 2nd left again into Carlinghow Lane. Follow this lane and take the 10th right into Cross Bank Road. Follow this road until it splits and take the left fork into Blakeridge Lane. Follow Blakeridge Lane into Upper Commercial street and on into Commercial street. Well Lane is a turning on your left.
USE THE ALTERNATIVE DIRECTIONS.
Hopefully we'll all find it.

Hi Rich: Please scratch me from W.L. as I have a power steering issue that occurred after my testing at Bruntingthorpe. Not sure as to the extent of the damage as I locked the car up and then came home with the keys in my pocket so Rodger Clark Motorsport will not get them 'til the morning at best.
Wonder if the sustained high revs caused the pump to let go?
Look forward to seeing you there anyway. Should be very interesting. My money is on Bob and Steve should do well too but the dark horse has to be Andy with his TD05->06 upgrade if he has had time to de-bug it.
Good luck everybody for an enjoyable event.

Sorry to hear that Harvey, We where all looking forward to seeing your car on the rollers, Do you want to swap days with me, I'm down for the second day but don't mind swapping with you as i live fairly local and will be attending both events anyway, Also gives you time to get that awsome machine repaired. Ady.

Ady: Kind offer but a major family commitment (Grandsons Christening) clashes. Thanks anyway.
David: When first relocated I was not happy with the system as there was a lot of scavenging noises when first run cold. A bit later I substantially reduced the pipe run and made some other changes which included an STi ver 7 reservoir located in place of the carbon canister and utilised the STi 7 feed pipe. I had one issue with air in the system but after I sorted that it performed like O/E and oil cooler was still hooked up.
At Bruntingthorpe I was able to run at sustained high revs for longer than I ever have before and when the red mist descended or I lost concetration I hit the limiter at 8k three times. Remember I have different alloy pulleys on the front and I will measure them to see if the P.S. actually is driven faster as a result of the three different diameters.
Otherwise it could be a pre-existing fault from the initial instalation.
There is no P/S whatsoever now and I did not want to run it further and get shrapnel round the system.
Let you know the end conclusion when I reach it.
