I seriously doubt these cars are road legal in the truest sense of the words though...

Jag F1 car did 0 - 30 in 1.5, 60 in 2.71, 100 in 4.02, so probbaly a bit slower than a stage 1 saff, but maybe the Ferrari or Williams could keep up

Keep up the good work, co55ie, I pi55 my5elf every time I read your thread5...

Lol
Am I the one spouting b0llocks no coleslaw rattles of some rubbish about his stupid calculations and then decides that the world record holding road legal car is not achievable due to his own college calculations.323 either it is road legal or it isn't simple as that and the car in the AVI is it makes an F1 car look like a moped in a straight line.
So the Jag F1 car is 0.2 seconds faster to sixty than a souped up Sierra as confirmed by 323. The F1 car would be faster on a track but wonder how it would handle over the bumpy stuff sounds kind of familiar doesnt it.I wonder if the ferrari torque steers ?

And people are slating the RS focus a superb car that can decimate a scoob including an STI on a track that costs under 20k the best FWD car ever made that has rock solid residuals and low insurance and running costs.OZ 18" Alloys, Brembo 4 Pots, AP racing clutch, sachs suspension, sparco seats, silicon hoses 0-100 in 15.5 100-0 in 4.1 and able to pull a G all out of the box with a 3 year warranty.
Sorry who's spouting rubbish. At the end of the day many of you seem to be nothing short of jealous.
Its not my fault you all bought a duffer of car in that bug eyed pile of rubbish is it. LOL they even used a scoob on eastenders great image guys and gals.

In fact I have decided to gate crash one of your gay gold wheel **** bandit meetings and show you just how quick a well sorted cossie is seeing as though the majority of you have never even been in a well sorted one it may shut you up. I will also video the spanking of any scoob that dares to challenge so I can post it on here to humiliate them. LOL my engine cost more than your brand new bug eye. Cheap skates in your autotrader bargain specials.

2002 Subaru WRX delivery miles only with gay wheels and rubbish prodrive go slow performance pack £100 ono price reduced for quick sale due to council house rent being due. LOL

Just a quick note to ask if anyone has actually met co55ie? Does he really have a cosworth?

I can't help but feel that this chap is talking out of his crinkley star.

Re the 0-60 times at Trax it had little to do with the car as I saw both runs. The CVossie driver had obviosuly done this loads of times and got the perfect launch. The Skyline driver didn;t had as good a technique and semi fluffed his gearchanges and got something like 3.6 seconds from what I recall against 3.13 for the Cossie. I think the Skyline would have beaten the Cossie if the driver was half as good.

Co55ie,

As it happens i am gay and what you have just said is both very offensive to me and to the rest of the gay community. It's a shame that someone like you has to resort to childish name calling and talking about gay people in the manner you just did.

If you have an issue with gays why not just come out with it and say what you really think? I post a light harted comment and you decide to then make fun of homosexuality. Do you thinik that all car lovers and boy racers are hetrosexual? I know plenty of boy racers that are gay, drive Nova's (like myself) and Impreza's.

Go and crawl back under the rock you came from.

I simply asked if anyone has met you as you do talk a lot about this mystical beast of yours but no one on this forum has it in the flesh let alone seen a photo of it.

If you do bring it to a Subaru meet or trackday i'll be there to see you take on all these people.

Ok you immature little w*nker. The most powerful road going Skyline EVER is the 'RX-SROC' that has been rated at 1006 bhp. Calsonic have claimed upto 1200bhp for their race cars, although have stated they don't run them at that state of tune as they would only last minutes. By the same token, the lightest a race skyline has ever been weighed at is 1031kgs including driver, which even when you factor in the 1200bhp claim, still leaves it at a still impressive, but way short of the mark, 1163bhp/tonne - approx 25% LESS than an F1 car, yet you claim it is almost twice as quick?? And yes the AWD will help it gain traction up to 30mph, but transmission losses will be massive above 30mph.

The EVO you talk about hitting 140+ at over 10 secs is far more beleivable, but bear in mind, that same car would only be at c100 at 7.9secs, so your much fabled skyline would have to be over twice as quick, AND have the same drag at 180 as the EVO has at 100. Not going to happen.

..oh and the fullboost.com is nothing. It is a site that is a title page only, and has been so since 2001 by the look of it.

Standard Cossie hits 30 in 1.3 secs? *cough* bull****. If that was the case, why does it take a further 4.5 secs to get from 30 to 60?

Quick cossie - you'll miss the school bell....

>>And of course evolution you have driven several RS Focus' so you make an objective comment as to exactly how the car handles on a country road

So by this comment you state that you can objectivly talk about the RS focus as you have had numerous test drives in it?

Interesting about the stats for the Jag F1 car. Usually the 60-100 time is always greater than the 0-60 on the same run. this suggests that the F1 car didn't get all its power down for the 0-60 time due to wheelspin or traction control. It certainly hooked up before it got to 100 though. I wonder how the renault would have got on?

Also, stats for a top fuel dragster for a typical 300mph 5sec run is 0-100 <1sec, 0-200 in 2.5, 0-300 in 5 secs. The record is 0-330ish in around 4.5, maybe an anorak/US drag scene person could be so kind to give the official WR? these things makw over 6000hp BTW!

Coleslaw the official 0-30 of a standard escos is 1.4 secs
Have a look at the AVI' s maybe they are wrong too stop spouting rubbish.

Re Trax note that the 980bhp blitz car only manages 3.0 dead to sixty rapid 1 recorded a 2.99 in his 4wd drive saff which is well documented.

Seems like you lot want to argue black is white no wonder you bought scoobs you know nothing

Krank read my posts I said I couldn't care if the diff was a problem as I could sell the car for what I paid for it with no problem if I don't like it so what have I got to loose.

Creamy I am glad I offended you maybe you offend me as your brigade are permanently trying to ram your sexuality down other peoples throats.

Cool

Great Thread again peeps

Co55ie, you really do talk out of that hole that doubles as your ****! LOL it's a shame that the sh1te you spout is interspersed with true facts, as it takes a while to dig them out!

However you are right about the Skyline. Having owned a GTR33 V-Spec, I know how capable they are, and seeing one do a 7.95 @ 181mph is very impressive. Not a road car, but awesome nonetheless. Nice air shifted sequential 'box too. Looks to be getting plenty of axle tramp , so could possibly have gone quicker.

Back to your RS Focus. I hope that they are as good as my mates T230 Focus which has the same Quaife diff in the front. And before anyone starts, the Diff in the RS is not some "Special" that's just for the Focus. I've driven it and have had a right laugh. It would kick a WRX into touch in the dry. Not what the Scooby mob want to hear, but it's true. Even on rough off camber surfaces it never felt wayward. I just think that some journos have lost their driving ability ( if they ever had any) and if a car doesn't smooth everything out they get scared

Enjoy your Focus, and learn it's ways. I think you'll be impressed.

Thankyou Matt OZ
I am looking forward to obtaining my new scooby nuking device and am sure that the diff is not as bigger problem as many journo,s have made out. I will probably try and run the car on a set of 17's that I have that will fit with a 205 tyre which I think will reduce alot of the tramlining if this is a significant problem in the first place which I don't think will be the case.

Seems like sour grapes on behalf of the scoob owning brigade to me Ford have made a car that kicks scooby butt in virtually every dept that costs under 20k. He who laughs last laughs longest and I know you all want one too.

Kranky I did not force you to read this scoobynet contains a section dealing with other marques. You cannot try and pigeonhole this in the same category as a gay parade. Why not arrange a hetrosexual white males with skinheads march I wonder what that would be deemed as ? No doubt I will be forced to see you on your next parade in a skirt kranky

I'm not... please re-read my post...I am calling you a hypocrite...

If you can't understand that, there is no hope

you seem very defensive about the gay remarks in your post. Are you still experiancing bouts of doubt? It's usual for teenagers such as your self to `not quite be sure` about which side of the fence you are going to sit on. Mabey you should consider a more apt mode of transport, for example a Mercedes SLK? (It would still be OK to keep those posters of the cossie's in the bathroom for those `special occasions`)

does co55ie actually own a cossie?

It sounds like you are a kid with a packet of `fast car top trumps` the way you reel-off 0-60 times.....

It's not the point of what car is faster / better / more powerfull. for me the only reason is `It's the car I driver because I want to drive it`.

I'm sorry, IMHO a ford will always *just* be a ford. They might make very good cars occasionally, but it is still *just* a ford, and for that reason it's not the car that I choose...

This is why your attitude and outbirsts are all the more amusing for us scoobynetters to read

So co55ie you didn't decide on the evo.I have heard mixed feelings on the RS focus but I am sure it will be very fun to drive.
I don't agree with you on looks though. The evo 6 beats the RS focus into oblivion in the looks department IMHO.The RS focus looks gay next to an evo6.But aside from this I am sure the focus RS is a very capable car as it has proven.
But I am sure all ford die hard fans will be waiting for the focus cosworth? Will be very interesting to see what it will do when it finally appears!

Co55ie-I am sure that the RS focus will be a lot cheaper to run than the evo6.I have an evo6 GSR and I am paying £1250Pa.And it does drink a fair amount.I am sure the handling of the RS will be upto scratch but the only thing you maybee disappointed in is the straight line performance compared to your tuned co55ie?I would love a test drive in the RS but there are none around in dealers to test drive!

If money was no object I really would have gone for the EVO but one petrol guzzling insurance nightmare is enough for me.
This RS thing will be used as an every day vehicle with enough performance that you really couldn't get anywere near its limit on the public road. Plus the 20k price tag is a real bargain for package you get in my opinion

LOL Merkin my ideal job better suited to that than old coleslaw and his F1 designing though.

Kranky impreza's didnt make it into my fast cars top trumps set as quite obviously they are not remotely fast have fun with your dodgy bearings and halfords exhaust. ROFLMAO at MAGNEX DE- CATS STILL and stupid PRO DRIVE GO SLOW PACKS

>>It is also ten yaers out of date now

Ah. Better start calling it a Ford Sierra then

>>THEY ARE A BUDGET BRAND MASS PRODUCING VEHICLE MANUFACTURER

Unlike Ford then?

No-one's stated that a subaru was a `prestiege brand`.

So we go from this:
>>No I am not mad my cossie will destroy an evo to be honest the acceleration of an evo is pretty dull they are hardly quick are they

to this:
>>If money was no object I really would have gone for the EVO but one petrol guzzling insurance nightmare is enough for me

So even you admin that your car is a petrol guzzling insurance nightmare! so hypocritical for one so young!

Wait till your're over 25, the insurance will go down. Mabey then you can afford a proper car

LOL Kranky I would think that a car that is capable of decimating 99.9% of cars on the road is fast enough for me have you ever driven a 500 bhp plus cosworth to comment ? NO I have driven a 280 bhp and it was pathetic to say the least absolutely nothing happened when it came on boost and then theres the oh so bland handling no fun at all. LOL I understand your on a budget Kranky but come on your cars only worth about £200 do some overtime. How does it feel to own a car that is the butt of all other marque owners jokes?

Toad - interesting you should mention the lack of demonstrators. A colleague of mine has a demo booked in 2 weeks time with the Ford dealer in Marlow (probably shouldnt name them but sounds like Pratts), not too far from you by the looks of things. Apparently the guy who had ordered the car cancelled. May be worth a call if you are interested in driving one, although I would imagine the car is now spoken for.
If you do get a test let us know.
I almost bought one of these and am in 2 minds whether I should have or not. Fortunately I love my overpriced, underpowered, piece of jap junk.
Cossie - I think you are absolutley right about residuals, running costs etc for the Focus. Assuming the "dangerous" handling is a myth, Ford have built a cracker. As a long-time RS fan I am pleased to see it.
I will maintain my position sat on the fence. Keep up the arguments chaps. Most entertaining!!!
