I reckon they must be good for about a second, but as everything else (except the Ginetta) was wearing full-on cut slicks, I don't think they were out of place.

Most cars had the Yoko's like those fitted to a 340R or Avon Advans.

Oh and in the rain, they are substantially better than the Continental Contactsport2 and not far off an SO3.

Russ,
Under the bonnet is exactly the same layout (ancillaries also) as a MY97 so I am sure an engine swap is easily in order.
Boost is at a lowly 0.75 bar so there must be something I can do to the present engine before going there.
Firstly, it needs to handle corners flatter and a bit lower. If work carries on like this then I might as well have bought an Imprezza.
