Knockhill, Saturday 16th November
Hi Saxo, i think i saw your car again in Edinburgh recently... couldnt catch you though to wave! Damn rs2000 hehehe

Just pulling your leg aly, when your out having fun on the track I'll be braking into your VTS to take it for a spin

If I can manage to prise myself out of the driver's seat of my smartie now and again, then I wouldn't mind a some short passenger laps around myself. A few laps would be great as the smartie dosn't take long to cool down :-)
CT - I am sure you wanted me to take somebody else out last time but I came in and out of the pits a few times and didn't see you. Can take them out this time if that is okay.
Cheers Iain

Erm, I may not bring the XR2 then. I wouldn't even loosely describe it as well looked after. Its been put together from an MOT failure for the Hot Hatch sessions really. Its (ahem) rough round the edges.
Saxo Boy - If you can get in to my VTS you can have a blast in it no probs. Of course I'll be driving my track car in to a dark blue Imprexa turbo saloon (with a fetish for spinning) thats been parked up at the same time.

AJ,
Yeah u musta missed it
I broke the engine in "big red" last
time out at KH, as I didn`t repair an existing engine fault before
doin the event (duh > me)
Check the pix on my site. If u look
hard enough u can see the reek commin outta the drain pipe
So "more suitable" replacement engine & "some other bits" goin in during rebuild. Hey it`s a reincarnation
hence the 2 (bigger n better

Pete,
sorry to hear the BR2 won't quite be ready.
Billy - need to book in advance I'm afraid. There are still places left, and if you send me an e-mail, I'll mail you back a booking form. Your friend in his 200sx would also be welcome.
Keith - likewise the Skylines - can you drop me an e-mail, and I'll mail you out the booking forms.
Cheers

Saxo Boy - the XR is standard engine wise for now, ongoing project (wanted - Kent CVH 33 cam kit & vern pully).
Its been stripped out completely; one bucket seat/one standard one, roll cage, dash & harnesses are the sum total of inside. Its got an ashley exhaust just now (janspeed manifold on way v.soon & poly bushes), Spax adjustable suspension all round and thats about it so far. By next hot hatch it should have perspex instead of glass rear and side windows, its more kinda power to weight than power!

Its not the fastest but fun it most certainly is!
As for the cheap...well, the VTS started out like that, a nice new motor maybe get a set of 6x9's, nothing too expensive, not throwing cash at another car blah blah blah...£6k later

i know the feeling.
but then times like last night make it all worth while...
drove back to where i used to live...
full tank of SUL + NF OB
not going v fast - just enjoying the sound... the force out of the corners... the pops on the change down... the rumble.
no stress.. pure fun... lots of
just what i wanted the scooby for.. to not have FWD, to have the sound.. to drive something that doesnt pretend to be something its not.
not pushing anywhere near the limits of the brakes, suspension or the engine... (the things that i keep thinking of spending money on)... so didnt feel they need more upgrading, so i didnt feel bad.
