TYRES
I have two Falken 205/50 VR 16 tyres which I don't need or have room for. They are not very worn, probably less than half worn.
Crush offered two pints for them but has backed out of the deal
I can bring them to KH on saturday if anyone is interested, I don't want money for them, I would prefer a hat.

Big AlT has already laid claim to the tyres, but if like Crush he pulls out, they will be at KH - assuming I remember to put them in the boot !

Does this really mean that an event at Knockhill in November will be dry? Surely this can't be and I won't be there Oh well, I'm gonna have some fun anyway

Been so busy looking after Skye that I havn't had much chance to post and only skimmed through messages. Will be good to catch up with everybody tomorrow.
Managed to get at least one other person to come along. He has a Rover K series 1.4 and can't afford the Elise structure to suround it so its encased in Racing Green Rover Bodywork :-) The young guy has done fine at Kames and Crail and this will be his first time on at Knockhill. He would probably enjoy some passenger laps from folks. Not sure if has had the pleasure of a passenger lap in a Scooby.
That's me checked the car out and put an older tyre on the rear. Hopefully it will be dry, but enough tread on it even if it rains. Three cans of petrol this time as two are not enough, and don't I want to be concentrating on the fuel gauge for the last hour.
Tomorrow may well be my last outing at Knockhill as I doubt finances will stretch to them next year. As long as I can hold onto the Elise I'll be happy, track days are just a bonus. Should still be along as a spectator though and always looking for Pax rides.
See you all tomorrow. Should have video rolling and will then put some stuff together over the comming months from this years track days.

John, SG & co,
Won't be there, but there are two new "Gerry" cans at home c/w proper filler if anyone wants to borrow them. I'm sure a couple of full fuel cans won't go wrong at Knockhill on the last track day of the season....especially if the weather forecast hold true!
Wishing I was home...

AJ - not to worry, I'm sure we'll have enough track days at KH next year as well.
Iain - sorry to hear that this may be your last track event Hopefully it won't be the case, and we'll see the yellow peril out again next year.
Jools - I'm sure some of the guys would love to borrow the jerry cans. I won't be able to collect them, so it would probably have to be Shaun who would need to collect them. Are they full (ie need to recover some money for the fuel used, or fill them up afterwards), or empty (ie just fill up and empty on the day ?

John,
They are sat in the garage, MT & vented. I don't have SG's contact details out here. If you have, give him a bell and ask him to collect, he knows where they are. He may want to use them as well. Other wise I call home & AC would pop round as he only lives a stones throw away from me.

Hi, Anyone from Edinburgh going, so they can show a KH newbie the way? (so we dont get lost this time), if so, what time is it running from?, we are just going for a nosey, our scoobs to slow for the track i reckon
Ps, whats the chances of someone taking my speed limiter(G/f) for SCARY lap or two, then she might think i drive slow in comparison.
Cheers guys,
billy.

A standard Scooby is fast enough, I had mine (MY99 wagon) out at the last track day and it was fine.
But your limiter will easily get a few laps, I'm sure someone will be willing to oblige.

hopefully my newish engine will last and not melt a piston like the thrash day at bruntingthorpe i recently attended
Hi JohnS who else is going to this tomorrow ?
Hi Kosy want to come out in a twin cam sierra turbo, basically same engine as in your escort but with 8 valves instead of 16

John B,
Starts at 12 for sure...and runs to 4 I think. I saw a post last week where Tut was talking about an event that was on right before the SIDC one and it was due to finish at 12.
