I have a Probe - no rude jokes please! And even though they are quite rare (rarer than any Scooby, perhaps because they aren't as good!), no other drivers wave at me. It annoys me, but seeing as it is middle-aged men driving them most of the time, it is not surprising.

When I get my Scooby, no matter what it is, I hope that I get the opportunity to wave at other drivers. It would be nice to be part of the "club" and know what it is like to drive such an incredible car. (I am totally converted now).

BarryK - I got them through my dealer (car) (sorry wrong froum for that sort of gag!). I honestly can't remember how much but they are an official part listed on the Subaru web site, as are the reflectors. As for fitting, I looked in the manula and it tells you how to take the lense off and on. Though I must admit I didn't do it, again my friendly dealer did it for me at the same time as the exhaust and didn't charge for the time (including the reflectors)... I'll keep on coming back.

Disco - Very sorry matey! Yes a big thanks to Disco for recommending them and for the picture I found showing them in the cars. Much nice than the Subaru version, a little more styling was involved.

I am still amazed at Subaru for the orange/brown plastics they put on the cars in the first place.

BTW Disco, I was quite impressed with myself with the family thing - just don't tell the muppets eh?

 

There is one MY01 here where I'm at. We always flash to each other. I have not seen another on the road. I have the MY00 UK Euro spec turbo. The MY01 is a 1.6 litre turbo with the WRX body kit in DBM and gold wheels. The 1.6 litre turbo is a Subaru Greece only accessory. There is only one other MY00 turbo here, in silver which I have yet to come across on the road. I have only seen it when I'm in the other car. I also flash and get flashed by 3 more MY00 1.6 litre cars. That's it. Same scoobies every day. How can we not flash each other.

Well I wave at all scoobs and even the odd Evo and scoob sport.

But one thing is for certain my MY01 is better looking than Mr T-S's MY01 LOL

 

I have a tendancy to wave at Scoobs when I'm a passenger in a mates car. Was being driven in a R19 16v when a Scoob drove towards us. I went 'ooh Scoob' waved at him, mate just buried his head in his hands and said 'oh the shame of it.'

Who cares, it's a Scoob say hello to them all.

Sometimes I cant sleep.

More to life than waving... Like getting the back end out on roundabouts or powerslides through the forest mmmm. must drink more now... (not while driving)

Please don't generalise about MY01 drivers. I wave at all Scoobys but rarely seem to get one back from drivers in older models. Gives me the impression that the MY01 is not considered good enough for the club....I'll keep waving
