We'll be up for that as well One car - two people.

How is it with the tickets / how much are they / is it better to get then in advance or when we arrive etc. ?

I'm up for this.(although Jamie has put me off, are we parking in a completely monkey free zone? Have enough trouble with the local tea leaves nicking spoilers etc)
Anyone else from E/London or Essex going?---John

lol @ John - the car parks in front of the stately home thingy, miles away from the monkeys

You can go around the safari park if you like as an extra choice, and this can be done avoiding the monkeys i.e. you follow the monkey free route

After seeing what they did to a new Clio and the guy in the van collecting the bits of car, I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to go in that section

Yeah, I looked on the web page of the park and it said it's 15.00 pounds for a passport ticket, allowing you to visit most of the attractions.

So what about these vouchers you were talking about? Is it cheeper with the voucher? If so, how do we get it?

Is someone travelling from North London and around?

Too many questions huh?

Re prices and vouchers, Have a look at the copy and paste below from Duracell. Cheers, Grahame.

****LATEST UPDATE****"BIG MEET"CONFIRMATION*****

Well Everyone..its up to you now.

Spoken with Longleat today & this is the situation.
They are sending me 100 vouchers valid for Sat.19th Oct.

Each voucher will entitle"ONE PERSON":
Entry to Grounds+Parking-(FREE)
Discount to Safari Park-(Adult £6.75)
(Child £4.50) or
Discounted Passport Ticket-(Adult £11.25)
(admission to everything) (Child £ 8.25)

So basically, what this means,is the choice is your's my Friends, you can either just park up in the Grounds,go round the Safari Park(+for those of you who think your car will be"dismantled by a Monkey") well its like this, there's a Safari Bus to go round on,or with the Passport Ticket you can go everywhere.

The Vouchers are being sent to me regardless,if i need more i can get some,so an idea of how many people(not cars) actually going would be helpful.
Perhaps each co-ordinator for each area can do this & let me know (i will be contacting those people via E:mail).

As far as distributing the vouchers,i myself, with the help of one/two others will arrive at Longleat early enough to meet everyone as they arrive(Times & Entrance location to be Posted later).
One other thing,as hopefully there could be alot of us,they have said they will try to Park us all together...(Great opportunity for Photo's etc..)so if i know how many cars also i can tell them before the day so they know.

If possible,i may try to arrange a"run"later in the day also, but we'll have to see,i won't commit yet, think of it as a"Bonus/Surprise"

"IT'S UP TO YOU ALL NOW" to make this a"BIG MEET" + a"success".

Yeah I saw that thread, but what I don't understand is if I order the voucher in advance I will pay the prices in brackets?

So for 11.25 in advance I'll get the same for the 15.00 pounds on the door?

Sorry to be a nuissance, I guess it's not my day for understanding things

No probs.
Duracell is being sent the vouchers to get the above discounts.
Two possibilties so far for distribution are.
1) Send them to the regional organisers to pass on.
2) Probably more likely is that Duracell and some of us Devon / Cornwall guys will arrive early and hand the vouchers out at the gate. Duracell will post up a "window" time for people to arrive so we aren't sat on the gate all day.
Duracell is on holiday soon but I'm sure he'll post before he departs, Cheers, Grahame.

Thank u"Springbok",i knew u wud help me in the end !!!

Like he says:so far i have 100 vouchers, they arrived today+are valid for us Subaru lot(logo on voucher).
The voucher will entitle you to the discounts already stated.
Unless i get exact numbers of how many going from each area(via my very"helpful"co-ordinators)who are so far"Jen"-Hants
"Steve B"-Bristol
"Dyney"-Sussex
"Ron"-Dorset
then we will hand them out at the main entrance as cars arrive, then all you lot do is decide what option you want to pay for,get your ticket & in you go!!!!!

As i write,i am still finalising things with Longleat,so please be patient, this is gonna(hopefully)be a "Big gathering"!!!
We may now even have some"welsh Scoobs"join us too & altho this is a Southern meet(before anyone pipes up)the more the merrier..eh!!

One last thing,i'm requesting that Longleat allow us exclusively to all go & park outside the Big house, later in the day,for a"massive"group photo of ?????(how many Scoobs)!!!!!
Will let you know more when i do.

Thanks to all of you so far.......Duracell

P.S Forgot to say that i can get more vouchers!

Looks great, you've done good job organising it.

We'll take two vouchers of your hands then

I think we'll join Dyney's meet to get there, don't think anyone is going from our neck of the woods.

Hi Everybody,

This looks like the south meet of the year!

Duracell, are the Devon / Cornwall crue meeting at Sainsbury's car park? and what about the rest? How about organising some major grouping points and times for convoys?

Perhaps each area could post there meeting points here.

Lee.
