You poor sods seem to suufer a lot of deductions!
I get around £6k in my account each month and hopefully a decent bonus next spring.
However, wife's spending always expands to 120% of income

God its depressing looking at these big salaries...
Ive a degree and im only (A)
I work as a biomedical scientist for the NHS, so test all your blood samples e.t.c.... Im only a trainee at the mo and on £12K but it will go up after a year and then plus on call work, which could get me to..... (c)
Thats what you get working for the NHS...

Last 3 years have been an easy D, same again this year. No wife to spend it, so it's better than most of your F's
Thinking it might be time to go somewhere else, even if it means going back to a C.

E. No bonus. No car. PPP (sadly health insurance, not the other one)
But then I'm a engineering consultant for an American Transport Consultancy. I do real work honest!
Working in Railways and put in 50 hours a week plus a bit more, so that's enough. Don't work weekends unless I MUST
I like this thread, shame there are so many IT types, I'd like to know what others earn!

The most I have ever had in my career was at Airtours when I got about £1300 a month after tax, and that was as national shop comms manager (hard job). Then I got stiffed by my boss and dived back down to about £600 a month
Doing better now, but I can only imagine what its like to earn a few grand a month - must be nice
Having said that I am up North, and now to annoy the Southerners. I own a lovely house in a desirable area, and drive an MR2. Monthly outgoings for car, house, bills, food etc less than £700

Reading some of this I'm shocked!!! I earn far to much and pay out far to much!!!
Tax is around £1250 per month
Ni is another £250 per month
CSA is another £800 per month
Mortgage on a house that I don't live in £500 per month

jason - You're information is very sketch and a cpuple of versions old now!
I left mine fairly simplistic deliberately.
Believe me I could wonder upstairs at the moment and get all the information I wanted or I could wonder downstairs and get a coffee!
Coffee it is then!

C wish it was D.
As for job, well, title is either (depending on who you talk to :
Senior Support Engineer
Senior Product Engineer
Development Team Support Liason
Coffee Bitch (put that in there before nixs does )
What does all that mean? Well, I answer tech emails/phone calls on our products, plus I provide on site installation, support, and training for our products. I also perform some R&D for the development team.
Oh, and I post on some subaru bbs from time to time

just into C
software analyst/engineer, database developer with first class degree
from down here, it seems like you have to be quite lucky and get in with the right company for a few years at some stage to reach E/F.
oh well, at least my wife only spends A!

C, but only just!
Same job as Dhorwich but 2 steps up from him, ie MLSO2. Been in this job since the late Triassic period, stuck at this grade since 1975
I once recommended my job to a bloke in a pub. I still feel guilty about it.
