Hello Paul,
The brakes car being done this month, just awaiting delivery of them - thanks for the offer - I may still call you. As for the badge, I'm keeping it on the original spoiler unfortunately, so I bought an 'STI' one although I think I'll maybe just get the 'stars' one as it looks better. I'll be in touch soon mate
Exesspeed - great news!! Welcome to being a new owner of this type of car. I'd imagine your the man to tell us the difference between the performance of the WRX and the WRX STI as a comparison.
Take care folks,
Marky-San

Ok folks, just a quick recap to the happening with all the posts recently.
We have from the '100' run:
1
24
25
28 MIA
43
66 MIA
78
86
Possible STI 1's in NZ - investigating
Possible one - Dirtboy.
From the '200' run we have:
26
63
132 MIA - last seen in japanese performance magazine.
134
135
197
One in Fast car, but no details at all.
I've sent out all people with email addresses a simple questionnaire of their car, themselves and modifications to it. I've made a simple website collating the current information in this post, and a few related ones recently. Once I've got some good amount of info on the cars I'll send out the link via this post. And folks, get taking those pictures of your cars and plaque's.
Paul H - many thanks for the offer, that was really kind - if I had known before I had already spent some long nights on the 56K entering the pictures etc. then you'd have had the job LOL! However, if alot more info comes in them I may forward it all to you
Andy P - Got the pictures of No.1 from the post you recommended - excellent m8! Thats all I can say
Hopefully hear from you all soon,
Marky-San
PS - Big thanks to ade7624 for the suggestion and causing me many late nights LOL!!

YHM ! Regarding the one in Fast Car, that was until recently Trouser's from TSL - actually saw the car in the flesh a few times. I'll contact him to see what's happened to the car, he was planning on selling it after buying himself a 22B !

I can recomend the Mintex pads, they are a bit noisy and quite dirty (plenty of brake dust), but after 18 months mine are still going strong, and you really have to push them before they start to fade. I suspect if your doing track days you could probably get the to fade much quicker, but for a fast road pad they are good.
Most supplier carry them, ring around and find the best deals at the moment. We don't stock them, as plenty of other people do them anyway. The supplier should be able to advise you of the correct pad type.
Not sure what's happening with the engine codes, the codes on the car itself sound correct, but the log book entry isn't a valid Subaru engine code, to my knowledge. Some numpty has probably put the wrong code down when it was imported. I believe you can correct this on the log book without too muvh trouble.

You should have my returned document by now !

Hello Exesspeed - I'll lift the questions off the word document, and send them to you as a email. Anyone had problems with the questionnaire?
As to the exhaust its all down to personal preference I'm afraid - what I like you might not. I'd look in the for sale section as theres always good stuff in there.
Hi BoxerFlat4 - got yours, Esoteric Beast's and Andy's back already. So I'll probably input some info over the weekend. Thanks

TO BOXER FLAT 4 regarding the mintex pads do you knoe the part code as im found factors with them but are unable to attain if threr for two pot calipets, even going off the year on log book, and which mintex most stoock the m1109/1 pad compound but ive got drilled n grooved discs and have heard to go for the m1115 comp but the diff in price is astonishing, std mintex £30 +vat and 1115 mintex £120, so whats a man to do, dont even know if the pads are for my car as they dont lost the sti, from 94 at factors, only all impreza's from 93 to say 97 , and they will be uk mods, regards mark.

Andy - car looks in great condition. Love the colour. Is it original or have you chosen it?
Sorry just re-read your mail to me and realised you meant upload to SN. I used to them for the register DOH!

Looks really good, black certainly suits the Scoob but must be a nuisance to keep clean.
Exess, I have an STI1 197/200 and the boost runs at 1.1 bar with a Powerengineering TS75 turbo back system, single free flow cat and twin down pipe. Hope that helps. Mind you, the boost gauges are not always that accurate. My rev counter goes into redline at 7000 RPM. There was a discussion about max RPM on early STI's but I would be a bit worried about going to 8000. Maybe someone can give us the real info about this.

Work been too busy for the last couple of months, with no sign of a let up. Site hasnt moved much as I havent stopped unfortunately.
Pleased to have got some GGR splashguards in black - still alot to do to the car. Its going back on the road this Friday - been locked away too long!
Thats a shame about no 43 Beast. Is the guy from Carlisle a scooobynetter? If he is, ask him to join the thread so we can keep the very few cars we have 'together'. Incidentally, what plans for a new car are on the go? Something more sedate, or something just as mental?
I noticed a while back that Lozza was selling her car, dont know if its gone or not though. Seems to be the time for change for alot of people.
Summer isnt too far away, and I need a dump (valve) LOL!!!
Take care folks,
Mark

Got my 4 pots fitted - thought it wouldnt make much difference. How wrong was I!!! Excellent.
No more p/steering plumes of smoke. Fitted a new legacy unit.
Still have bothered with the splashguards yet as I'm lazily colour coding - re 'lazily' means only done one bit in 4 months!
Oh well, nice to see Andy omn 18's (lucky beggar) - looks ace!
BTTT for a historical thread.

Done most of the colour coding - not door handles - ugh the thought!
Fitted my splashguards as well. Bit of Blue Peter knowledge goes a long way
Car looks even more stealth with all this black stuff going on.

A bit late to this thread I know but a friend of a friend has a silver STI 1 saloon.
I'll try and get the number and let her know about the thread.

YOUNG GED -
I'm based in Cheshire as well, it would be nice to get 2 STI 1's together to compare them !
Got mine back from the approved repairers, only for 3 days later some fu**wit to open their door straight onto my newly repainted door ! So, it needs doing again - as well as the head gaskets (still currently smoking occasionally), the front passenger door (mirror section making a noise since it was moved by the repairer, needs re-aligning), oh and I think a wheel bearing has gone as well (low speed droning from the wheel area). And I need some new brakes.
*Sigh*.....

Heres some closer ones which also show my new STI 4 pots, Brembo Group N+ discs and DS2500 pads. What a difference to have 'brakes'.
I'm getting towards the place I want the car to be.
Next week - fitting Bailey Motorsport EVO dump valve..........heard all the idle problem horrors of VTA DV's, well I'll find out soon enough

hi yea ive no 86 out of 100. in red, can you tell me what the correct boost is for this model car as mine is going to 10 psi and holding 9,psi seems low to me, bottom end to mid range power or torque is awsome but i need to find out a safe boost to run pref higher than 10 psi lol, thanks mark
