Boo-hoo - I'm stuck on a "very long work unit" - unless I leave my PC on for like 24hrs+ it's not going to ever finish my molocule! I can't do that with my home PC so waiting for a fix from UD...

Hey guys... just checking back in making sure these threads stay alive...
Seems like we've got a decent team going... I just keep working on my members to join... if we even just had 10% of our membership we would be really pushing some serious numbers. Oh well... just have to keep at it.
BTW... Andy... you suck! j/k I just finally got my OC'd AMD 1.33 at home cool enough to run 24/7 I'll get up there... soon... but I'm not beating Andy anytime soon!

VERY good cause, glad to see this sort of thing is happening. MY family is especially involved with this sort of thing, so I'll see if I can't get my dad to hook the university computers up. Cheers, lads.

Nick, what's wrong with the scores ?
Woohoo, almost made it to page 2
People, the team is of course bigger now than Microsoft , but we need a few more volunteers to beat little countries like France etc ... so join up if you haven't already !
Edited because a bug in the post sofware made typing Nick come out as Andy

I've had a scan through the UD forums and many other teams are having the same problems. UD are aware of it, but so far have not managed to sort it out or tell anyone that they are even aware of the problem unless asked.......

A friend of mine is running this program and he is having isuues with it I was wondering if anyone could tell me why?
Apparantly it gets to no more than 50%, with up to 30 hits, then either windsback to zero with no prompt, or, it asks to be put on line to correct a fault then goes back to zero again. Happened about 8 times now. His record sheet shows zero on all couunts
Any ideas?
Cheers

No idea why this should happen. Best to reistall as it seems that your friend won't ever get any farther.
If anyone has been following the i-Club thread on the same subject they are up to 7 pages and 172 replies on the subject!

Has nobody else got the same problem as me?????
Have a look at the differences between my personal results etc and compare them to the team results.
One night a few weeks ago, they just got shaved off on the team scores, all of yours did when I look at the team board. Again, nobidy got the same problem????? Please????

Same here.
Personal scores 81 return 7,821 points 77 days 17 hours 17 mins 39 secs.
Team scores 51 returns 5,329 points 50 days 19 hours 35 mins 40 secs.
I did fill out a technical support query on the matter but as yet (2 days later) have not had a reply.

I think the whole thing is a scam...
I've been downloading for days now, and for example it now says I have downloaded 94 hits, but - apart from the boring video with some molecules - there is absolutely no sound coming out of the speakers.

Team stats look to have been semi-fixed now.
{Edit - UD look to be rebuilding the team database. Team i-chat's stats are current up 7th May. There is a little line against your team stats to show when it's up to}
Chris.

Lee,
Here's me hoping that my stupid computer is maybe helping just a very tiny bit ... long shot, very remote chance, I know, but then again ... the caveman that accidently invented the wheel could not predict Imprezas either
Come on people, join this thing. We only have about 220 people, so 5.800 Scoobynet PC's to go
Join now !

just joined.
I'll install it on my work PC too if I can.
The PC comparison stats are nonsense tho.!
I get a 49 for CPU- dual 733 (fair enough).
Storage 20? Eh? It thinks I've only got 1Gb (it's missed another 60Gb somewhere).
The daftest is network-I rate 14 out of 100 with the same NIC!
I did well on memory 134 out of 100 (512 Mb RDRAM).
Keep on joining chaps...

Thanks to all of you who are donating your spare processing power to the search for a cure for cancer. It is much appreciated.
As of 25th June the Impreza WWW Owners Club Team had
234 members
returned 7363 results
total CPU time donated of 12 years 334 days 8 hours 22 mins 12 secs.
From 14,137 teams IWOC is
42nd in the number of members (down 2 places since last update)
36th in the number of results returned (down 1 place)
41st in thee time donated (down 4 places)
As mentioned above we currently have 234 members and i-chat has 38 which might sound a lot...BUT this is made up from 1050 members of IWOC, 6610 members of Scoobynet, 7770 members of i-Club and members of the Dutch Subaru Club, plus friends. Yes quite a few will be on more than one group but we are only skimming the potential processing power available out there! So PLEASE join if you have not.

Good luck with the chemo Lee. A couple of friends went through the treatment and it is a long struggle but they got through.
The Impreza Team in the UD Cancer research program is still turning in the results. Thanks to those of you involved and thanks to EVO Magazine for publishing my letter last month. Unfortunately it was edited for inclusion in the magazine so missed out a couple of paragraphs, one of which included the names of the clubs and BBS's affiliated to the cause such as Scoobynet, i-Club and the Dutch Subaru BBS.
Current statistics are as follows with the ranking of the Impreza Team against the
other 16547 teams in brackets.......
Members 259 (# 45)
Current Members 250
Retired Members 9
Results Returned 38,405 (# 35)
Total CPU Time (y:d:h:m:s) 46yrs 116days 12hours 32mins 09secs (#34)
Avg. CPU Time Per Result 10hrs 33mins 55secs
Avg. Results Per Calendar Day 314.80
Avg. CPU Time Per Calendar Day 138days 13hrs 52mins 24sec
