Northern Meet 7
Hi Martin,
Just to confirm, I have done my homework this time and moved the Lakes run to Sunday 13th October so as not to clash with your event or the Tour Of Derbyshireor the Staffordshire big meet
Hope you don't mind me posting a link on your thread?
Cheers, RF

HA!
As if.
How come they call you "guvnor" and you named your son Matthew? AND your car has "SUBARU" written on it.
No connection. Pshaw!
I didn't go for the sale cos I've been wasting money on computer gubbins, can't you get a job lot of PC gear from BAe systems you nugget? Feel free to post their brochure won't you?
Well done on the scanning of documents you technophobe (or was that done by your ably brained kids?). Did you get the photo of them at the barbecue at Banshi's? Has your e-mail changed?
Hope I can make it on the 29th. See you then.
Ta ta.

Apple,
I can assure you that I don't need to 'steal' anybodys routes or thread titles (NM?). I create my own routes.
I don't plagiarise, like some on here.
I have been organising and running 'Northern Meets' over the last 3 years, and one of my routes was amended and reissued for Northern Meet 2, by somebody else.
Numbers 3,4,5,6 and now 7 (issue 02) are all my own work.
Edited to remove slight over reaction, As I am often prone to.

Sorry MTR
, it was only a small general bit of fun poking against nobody in particular hence the
- no offence intended
alanjack organised a previous run, called it NM7 as it was the next one after NM6 and a total of three cars turned up. we had a good day out
. this one you've organised has also been called NM7 rather than NM8 - that's why I said we might be doing the same route...
Apple
PS am i still allowed to turn up?

Alanjack & Apple,
Of course you are welcome, along with your mate/s.
If people like yourselves don't bother turning up, then the whole event becomes a non starter.
I need you as much as you need me.
Apologies if I seemed a bit abrupt.
I will explain why on the day.
Cheers MTR

Well spank my buttocks with a wet fish, Bee Kays emerged from the woodwork!
I should steer well clear of that sarnie m8, after all this time it could probably walk the route.
Now if we can just get Chappers back from retirement we can find a few more old codgers in the pub and settle down for a nice game of dominoes.
(While we wait for the rest to arrive

BarryK, I'll finally be able to buy "that" salad sarnie for you.

Hello all,
I hope you all had an enjoyable day out.
The weather smiled on us today, so that makes a change.
A decent turn out of various type of car, 2 off 22B, and 2 off Sti S202, an unexpected pleasure.
Your generous donations towards the Nick Wild memorial banger race which takes place at Bell Vue on Monday evening 7th October, raised £67.14, so a very big thank you for that.
Dickon, the chap who helped me count the money contributed some more to round the total up to £70, so along with the current sponsorship I have colected in work, I will be able to hand over £201 to Banshi (Barry) who is organising the charity banger race.
The money is being sent to 4 charities on behalf on Nick Wilds family.
A big thanks must also go to Mark L on here who donated 2 cars to Barry for conversion into bangers, for free.
Mark owns and runs along with his father, T & M Motors Ashton Rd Oldham,. Tel 0161 627 1443. They sell alloy wheels, in car entertainment sytems and of course secondhand cars.
Also a big thanks to Jap Innovations of Hamilton Street, Oldham Tel 0161 652 0920, Subaru performance and stylist distributors, for the kind use of their facilities for storing and working on the 'fleet' of bangers in production.
Without their help, the whole project would probably not have taken place.
I do trust given the nature of Marks gift and Jap Innovations continuing support for this charitable cause, this blatant plug wil not be deemed 'commercial' advertising and not get locked or deleted.
Once again, tahnks for attending.
Cheers MTR
