Kwasi Kwateng, the quasi-chancellor has now resigned!
The Tufton Street economic plan doesn't seem to be popular with either the people or the Tory back benches. The Intitute of Economic Affairs and the Taxpayers Alliance clearly haven't got a clue about running the economy, although no doubt their secret funders made a fortune on the turbulent markets over the last few week!
Saying that, I've not done too badly on sterling trade either

Time for the new King to threaten dissolution of this s**t show (can do it if it's in the nation's interest). Wish he could tell Starmer's bunch to do one to!
They've barely been in office for two weeks after their summer break/recess, then as soon they start office they have a week off for the Queen's death/funeral and then another recess for Conferences. Ironically preaching about working together then the very next week releasing the backstabbers.
Fact of the matter is current policies have been implemented by advisors, of whom we know little if not their influence or agendas. Currently it feels like the influences is that of a short trader/hedgefund better's wet dream. No one person is singularly responsible. So sacking Kwasi is purely theatrical, as those that influenced that budget remain, just like those that put truss up for PM only now to call her for to go.
Honestly cannot see how any incumbent Tory MP can think that they can win their seat in another election.

It doesn't really matter who takes over, the party is so split on fundamental issues, that they can never be united. They need a serious kicking in a GE to clear out the rot and rebuild from the ground up!

Boris would never get any support from the party if he suggested joining the EU!

Indeed, there is massive chasm between what Conservative members are voting for versus what MPs want, particularly back benchers.
Probably not helped by a weak whip.....The same one that was appointed by May quelle surprise; If they can't work under a Prime Minster selected by the party's members, they should be barred from the party for a term, So either they reform to create a new separate party and work as a coalition or trigger a general election if they can't. Of course that hands Labour power on a silver plate. But the Labour party also needs to be split in half to separate the Lefty Corbynites from the Tory-Lites. Two different ideologies shouldn't serve under the same banner.

This is very true also! This is sadly the result of FPTP voting system which ultimately creates division. If all things were even, the centre left and centre right Tory and Labour MPs should by right be in the Lib Dems or some other centrist party, which would most likely win the most public support. With this politics of division though, any centrist MP who wants to be in the governing party, needs to shift left or right and join one of the two leading parties which the public have to vote for even though they don't really represent them!

Just imagine if Corbyn hadn’t been smeared to hell , but invested parties
your economy would not be crippled as a result war US nato expansion, we’d be better terms with EU or still in , Cooperates wouldn’t have taken over as a result vaccine passport diplomacy
but the public are too daft

Looks like it will be a free pass for Sunak now, that will make it a bit tougher for Starmer in a GE than if they got Johnson back, but Sunak will still have to pull some super-sized rabbits out of a miniature hat if the Tories want to stay in power!

Stranger than Fiction
A PM that is black , a Hindu , very wealthy , has an American green card, has a wealthy wife - who has nom-dom status , proved to be treacherous, anti-brexit
What could go wrong?
