High milage club
What MY cars does this affect and is it more likely to happen to a car once it has reached certain miles/km?

I've owned my Classic turbo from new in 2000 and it's now got 212,000 miles on the clock.
Completely standard apart from upgraded suspension and brakes.
Original engine, clutch, gearbox and exhaust still fitted.
Never let me down and it's my daily driver.
Would love to restore it but fear the cost would be prohibitive to do a proper job.

Haven't got any pics, but she's a good looking silver saloon with rusty rear arches.
Paintwork is pretty good with a couple of dents in the doors and the interior looks like almost new.
Cost me under £25k and have since spent £28k on insurance, road tax, tyres and maintenance.

It was the test drive that really made an impression on me as it felt so tight and responsive after a few years of driving soft saloons.
The salesman kept egging me on to drive faster round corners and roundabouts because I didn't realise the amount of mechanical grip it had.
I knew within a couple of minutes that I had to have one and have never regretted it.
When I got mine I took it easy to start with to bed the rings in properly. That takes about 20 to 30 miles.
Then progressively raised the rev limit to break the rest of the engine in, so I didn't get the full use of it for a few weeks.

I remember sitting in a bug sti around 2002 in carcraft and I couldn’t stop smiling. Could never afford 1 at the time but I can still remember “how it felt” the seats, smell etc….I’ve been lucky enough to own Subarus non stop since 2010 now but never a brand new one. These days Subarus are mediocre to most but if Subarus are in your blood then the “outsider” will never understand what it’s like owning a Subaru ❤️

my introduction to subarus was a ppp classic wagon , took me by surprise when the boost came in , plus the boost noise was epic 😂😁i’ve had a scooby since around 2000 or so and definitely a favourite car 👍😁
