Tbh, I don’t really know mate. I’m sure there’s someone on here who can confirm that though...

All engines have different burn rates per cylinder, on a subaru its more related to the inlet airflow.

A stock 2.0 twin scroll STi has more torque than a 2.5 STi and a much larger power curve.

Really, I love to see a dyno chart for a stock twinscroll 2.0?

On paper that sounds perfect as a single scroll 2.0 seems to lack torque in abundance

Going down the twin scroll vs. 2.5 rabbit hole, be back in 8-10 business days

I was concerned about that before I bought my Hawkeye Spec C RA, but it was such a brilliant driving machine and still 100% Subaru through and through.

I have an R205 now, which is even more ‘grown up’. But the damn thing still revs right out to 8k and what other Turbo’d car does that? It too is pure Subaru and just fantastic. I lost the need for burble a long time ago.

On paper I believe the torque figure for the spec c is just over 300 and a light tune should see 320-330.

Numbers aside, this car pulls really well down low. I think the reduced weight helps and the fact that the turbo is spooling at 2k rpm. It makes for a very fun road car. 😎

Stock JDM STi twin scroll can give circa 360BHP 390Lbft with a remap, decat and panel filter.
In completely stock form they have 280PS @ 6400rpm, 304Lbft @ 4400rpm

Not been on here for ages, but, your spec C is looking fantastic, after selling my P1 it's probably the only Impreza I'd have
keep the pictures coming

Thanks mate. It's a fantastic car to drive too. I nearly bought a P1 back in 2004 when I finished uni. It was a 1 owner immaculate car and was up for £6995!!
Hopefully, as the weather improves and the lockdown eases, I'll be able to get a few more pictures.
Bumped into this lot when I went to get breakfast from MDs on Sunday.

The guy on the end looks like he's hit something as his bonnet doesn't seem to fit and his bumper is held on with elastic bands!

On Easter Monday a few of us decided to get together for a little drive out. We found a nice B 15 mile road in north Essex that's popular with the biker community. It's a fairly clear road nowadays as most of the traffic runs down the recently rebuilt A120, it's also got a nice mix of straights and corners with good visibility so makes for a perfect spirited run. I was also joined by another extremely nice RA, not very often you see 2 of these parked next to each other. Once again the RA's proved themselves as an incredible point to point car, leaving a smile from ear to ear!

Is that other RA the same one you found in the Supermarket car park?

Hiya,

Thought you might like to see a little update on the RA

It sure is. The owner lives about 2 miles away from me!
He said that people keep texting him saying you just drove past me and he has to check to make sure the car is still parked outside.

Hoping to get it rolling soon so I'll offer some feedback in the near future.

To be honest, we've ended up going further than intended. It's now too clean to use

Once it's back I've got some bits and bobs to do and will take some snaps along the way.

I finally got the fog cover decals through and managed to fit them yesterday. I was a little worried about the position of them as they are different sizes to my other spec c, so I called on a friend to bring his RA round to use it as a template.
We used a clear plastic sheet and a sharpie to create a template and also measured it with a digital caliper. Then transferred the template to my covers, positioned the decals and double checked measurements before sticking them on.
It really completes the car now and I'm happy with the result. I just hope that his were in the original position and haven't been replaced at some point!!

Not very often you see this many RA's in one place!

I'm in the gym at least 5 days a week but I'm getting old now so it becomes much harder to shift.
Gone are the days of 10 pints and a kebab of a Saturday night and then up early Sunday for 90 minutes of footie!

Have been meaning to give the roof vent a good clean and compound since I've had it as there was some ingrained dirt and a bit of yellowing on the pain. It's looking much better now but really need to take the whole thing off to do it properly. Decided to treat her to a full polish and wax afterwards. I'm still getting used to the annoying fact that it's almost impossible to make a white car sparkle like any other colour though.

I really hate how the bumper is ever so slightly darker than the rest of the paintwork. I'm assuming that it's because it's a different material but may try to give it a go with a compound next time around...
