Spec C Type RA

- Pink adjustable suspension
- Black interior colourway
- Rear carbon fibre spoiler
- Enkei wheels
- Climate control
I'm sure there's a few other little things but would imagine they are not really noticeable.
And how about this, I popped in to the local supermarket and found a twin! Out of the 158 white blob RA's in existence, the chance of finding one at the local must be pretty slim; let alone 2 of them!
excuse the poor parking!

I think the black interior/seats are available in some other models too, the WR1 definitely has it. My pals FSTi also has it. It does look a bit more subtle than the blue.
It has a few solid mounts, they are all aftermarket though.

Yes, that does ring a bell.
Any idea what brand these brake discs could be? They have unusual vent holes on the hub which may help...
We decided not to change the discs in the end because they have plenty of meat on them still. I'm very happy with them now the new pads are run in.

Had a chance to give the RA a mini detail today. It was machine polished before I collected it last month so I just gave it a good scrub, coat of wax and coat of sealer.
As someone who generally enjoys a nice shiny car, I have to admit that the paint on the spec c is not really a valeters friend! Being thin and very flat, it's tough to get much shine out of it and it seems to stain/mark very easily. I've given all of the door shuts a good going over with an APC but they still look grubby, I think the only way to bring them up may be to use a polish or even compound; I may give it a try once the summer is here.
Got some pictures on the way to the shops, I wish I was a better photographer ...

As special as that is & all, what’s it like driving an impreza with equal length headers & no burble?
Does it make you feel more mature & grown up, but like a part of you has died inside or like the car has lost a bit of personality?

With regards to making me feel grown up, this car does the total opposite! It turns me back in to a 20 year old oik who just can't stop stamping on the go pedal!

Looks great Adam, if you wanted a proper paint finish (as far as thats posible with a Subaru) Obsidian Black Pearl is the way forward, it looks superb after a polish.

My other one is Mica black (gold Pearl) and comes up amazing, the stone chips stand out a mile though! 😂

let’s be honest here, the Subaru Impreza is renown for the Subaru burble, not because it’s sounds like a motorbike 🤔

I've been driving Impreza's for 24 years, i prefer the Twin Scroll sound, it's far less in your face for the neibours when normal driving and sounds mental when would up, so much cleaner a noise than the offbeat rumble. It's all personal of course.

I wouldn’t argue with a man of your ilk John especially when I have my car for looks and sound whereas you are a successful Subaru competition driver 👍 But Personally I have a uk sti for the sound when I could afford a jdm sti also....I’m not competition driver I just love the Subaru burble and my favourite is the blobeye hence a uk sti widetrack...it’s noticeable a mile away, the jdm isn’t.

I respect everyones opinions plus when we have serious Subaru competitors on here who have “been there and done it” regarding Subarus, I’m in awe of there knowledge, wisdom, advice and opinion. 👍 as stated earlier I clean my Subaru to death, I don’t drive fast. You will never get a newspaper article about me saying “yob in a speeding Subaru takes out family on sidewalk”...very easily done by Colin McRae wannabes

I can can respect all opinions here. I completely understand the the burble sound is fairly unique and therefore gets attention. Most of my Subaru driving mates have loud exhausts.
Personally, I prefer something a little more conservative, maybe it’s my age nowadays! 😂 I actually added a central resonator in my other one just to make it a bit more stealthy around town, still sounds good once you open it up though.
I’ve always had fast cars and I primarily own a Scooby for the driving experience, although I do think they look good too. There’s a time and a place for it though and I agree with John that you should only push these cars on the track. Living in Essex, there’s no shortage of morons with rusted out WRXs sitting at the lights with their LC and ALS activated and a flamer kit spitting 2 meter flames out the back! Absolute numpties and give the rest of us a bad name.
Oh, and the sound, I don’t have a preference between the 2. What I would say is that anyone thinking that the JDM cars might sound like a high pitched, tinny Honda are very much mistaken. When you open the taps, they have a very unique sound, mine is not too dissimilar to a much more exotic ‘super’ car. That certainly turns some heads...

100 % mate, I’ve stated it before, I’ve lost count of the amount of times I get people ragging up my **** with my son in the car, it got to the point where I would stop and confront them, they would **** themselves. It got to the stage where I wanted to sell it but then I took it off the road for 2 months when it was cold and the roads were full of salt. then love came back So she ain’t going nowhere
