Recaro always have made the best seats let's be honest. Never seen the huge fascinaton with Bride seats either, when you see proper track focused builds in Japan they all run Recaros anyway. It's more of a poser / drift thing I think. Plus we aren't racing snakes so wouldn't fit in them either lol.
I assume you just elongated the mounting holes on the rails so that they can sit wider and then shift the seat closer to the centre of the car ?

I agree @Dreep that a few quality parts don't hurt. I'm going to see how I feel once I'm driving it, I definitely won't be taking as far as my other one though.
Looking at your definition, I definitely had the standard size then. I've got a picture somewhere...
If you decide to move yours on at any point then please let me know, I'd definitely be interested as it was between these and the poles that I was considering.
I'm hoping to head up to Scotland in the new year. I'll most likely be rebuilding the engine in my other one so will need to do some running in miles and I promised the mrs a trip north of the border.

Would be good to get a comparison with OMP WRC-R's in the type R, Russ.
I just checked the specs against the SPG XL and even the non XL OMP is 2" wider in the **** and it was a snug fit on me before lockdown... Maybe I should get round to Duncs and check if my fat *** still fits in the car!

Short update...
We're still waiting on the registration so I haven't collected the car yet. It is back from the body shop though and now has a clear coat wax underseal (Bilt Hamber).
We are currently getting the new tyres fitted (I went for Pilot Sport 4's) and giving everything a service. We were going to overhaul the brakes but the disks are in good condition so we are just swapping out the pads for some PFZ's.
The car currently has a titanium cat back exhaust but it has a bit of damage on the central resonator. We discussed having this repaired and it seems fairly straight forward but then Tom came across an S203 titanium backbox so we've decided to use that instead now. I'll probably be selling the other exhaust shortly if anyone is interested. I also came across a rare catalogue carbon mirror cover that I was able to acquire.
Here are some pics

Some nice optional parts there.
Exhaust looks to be the S202 / STI Sport Titanium muffler - ST443004S010.The S203/4 exhausts were slash cut.
What exhaust is currently fitted to it just now, was the damage to the center silencer bad?
Car looks great, I bet you are so eager to get out in it. I can't get over how clean it is underneath!

The exhaust on it is a custom made one from Japan, it's a 2.5 in to 3 inch, so wouldn't fit with the standard mid-pipe. The damage doesn't look that bad to be honest (you can see it in one of the pictures) and if this other back box hadn't come along, I would have had it fixed myself as it's a really nice looking exhaust.
I'm really pleased with how clean it is underneath. It was an auction grade 4b and now we've tidied up the little superficial bits, it's pretty much mint. I can't wait to get it out on the road now!!

Hi @Dreep Now I look at it again I think you're right. I don't have any other pictures of it at the moment but will double check with Tom.

Could be interested in taking the exhaust from you if I end up finding the Tomei far too loud haha.
Certainly a very clean example thats for sure!

Hi @NOSSY_89 . Yes mate, it was shiny before and now it has a dull matt effect. I think it'll need topping up every other year so is not as hardy as one of these sticky or plastic based underseals.
How do you tag people in lol.

It is a clean wax film. I guess it won't last as long as traditional underseals but I only do 3-4k miles a year and live in the driest county. I don't mind topping it up to stay on top of it if I need to.
to tag people just use @ and start typing their name.

@adam.pah it works lol. I tried it some time ago and it didn't want to work.
I've had to say good bye to one classic and that did 500 miles a year.
I want to refresh the underneath on mine but money is the biggest issue. If this stuff works and needs topping up every few years then thats fine. Any chance of letting us know how it holds up in a few weeks time.

Hello mate, these rarer models have caught my attention. If I sell my blob widetrack I’d go for something like yours or this but are they the correct callipers? I’m not the best with the rarer models

We just fitted the Titanium back box but we’re still waiting for the DVLA to pull their finger out and give us a registration! 😑

Hi Johno. Yes, these are the correct callipers, same as the STi 4 pot ones. I think the hawk RA-R had 6 pots but could be wrong. I’m still finding out about these myself! I’m going to keep this one fairly standard, maybe add some original catalogue items but won’t be pushing big power this time.
