Thanks Don, and thank you for all your help and reference input. This forum would be a lesser place without your knowledge.

2 stage Menzerna polish, and Bilt Hamber speed wax. A bird shat on it half way through, and the weather played silly buggers

Indeed. Our journey from Bala down to the Brecons was probably the best part of the 640 miles from Edinburgh to Lands End, both for scenery and quality of roads.
Given your name, I'd also say that I had the best pub lamb shoulder near Bala.
The following year, North Yorkshire was its equal, but not for lamb!

You've done a fantastic job HG, the car looks mint!
What menzerna products did you use?

I didn't sorn it, Matt, I couldn't! Moley suggested a limited mileage policy
Fivos, I used what I had, which wasn't ideal, originally chosen because of the fear of thin, soft paint.....Menzerna medium cut 2500 on a green medium cut hexlogic pad, and then 3800 super finish on a white hexlogic. I wish I had a polishing pad or 2, and some glaze. The bad marling/swirls have gone leaving some scratch marks that could be taken out, but Mrs is getting pissed off with me now!!

That's good then, can still get out in it.

I can hear it now "you care more about that car than you do me!"

I put the replacement Whiteline front strut mounts on today, along with new spring perches, and Group N transmission crossmember bushes and a new Sti transmission mount. Both WL mount bearings had gone, so it feels awesome now

Snowfoamed with AG Polar Blast, and another layer of wax, finishing up some Colinite 476S

And a quick wipe over the engine

great work mate, that is some effort! I paid for the enhanced dinitrol treatment from Torque GT when I got mine but I feel I also need to do what you have done.

spent a bit of time restoring paintwork and it's onto the hidden stuff next. the stone chip guards were a right ballache to do!

Thanks. If I get another one ever ( possibly an S206 variant) I'll definitely strip it down myself and do it properly. I wish I'd done this earlier, but I'm feeling much more confident about its condition now....and it was a good learning process and I really enjoyed it.

Had to leave all this alone, as I broke my back T9 vertebrae a couple of weeks ago, and can't even be a passenger in a car at the moment. To say that I'm bored ****less is an understatement.

I was dumped onto the top of my head in some decent surf, lucky not to drown, or have nerve damage. Very thankful but so very bored too.

So the final tally on my vertebrae was 6 crush fractures from t4 to t10. So to celebrate not being paralyzed or drowned, I've begun to spend some limited cash on this car.
