Crazy protests in London today, barely a mask in sight and absolutely no attempt at social distancing. If they want the right to protest during a pandemic, that's not really the way to go about it!

Give it a month or so and we'll see case rises again just like France.
Since the vaccine I've seen massive increases in commuting traffic and more people not following distance and mask rules. I know people "dropping by" on friends and family's houses for a drink and natter (inside). I'm certain it's not isolated to just what I personally know of.
And it seems to have gone rather quiet on the news front on the containment of the new variants and further variants from the Philippines have now been found, this is not the time for Corbyn to hold a lefty loon shin dig in Hyde park

Boris has been busy kissing the EU's ar$e over the weekend, calling all the EU leaders, desperately trying to beg them not to implement vaccine export restrictions! Wonder what he's been offering them in return?

Reminds me of the buffet at a hotel I stopped at in Rhodes; The Germans got there first and had double portions, the French pushed in the queue, and the Italians went round it backwards...meanwhile the Brits patiently and muttered under their breath at the sparse remnants that was left after finally grabbing a plate.

Interesting reading the UK Press take on the latest German "Lockdown" over Easter
In Germany everything is pretty much locked down every Easter! All shops are anyway closed on Friday, Sunday and Monday, the only difference this year is they are adding Thursday and Saturday, although its looking likely that Supermarkets will still be allowed to open. Otherwise, the rules for meeting people are the same as they currently are, with max 5 people from two households at any one time! Probably the only big shock for the Germans is you can't go to church services over Easter, but that is the same as last year!
Will have to wait a day or two to see the exact rules implemented by each state, but so far its looking more like hot air in the British press than any major new restrictions and still less of a lockdown than the UK!
Most people at work today are really happy to be getting an extra day's holiday over Easter! The way it was communicated was that it would be an additional Bank Holiday they were calling the "Green" holiday

You're try far too hard to misrepresent
Merkel had massive bust up with regional leaders, basically sticking plaster on shotgun wound.
Merkel has already admitted
to abandon any hopes of a foreign holiday any time this year — a tacit admission she has all but given up on her pledge to offer every adult in Germany a first jab by September 21.

To be frank, UK MPs should announce no foreign holidays for this year too. Not without hotel quarantine and testing upon return (can't trust people to self isolate at their home). Especially with the current state of infections that are on the rise in various holiday destinations, just needs a major mutation to undo all everything and put us back to where we were 12months ago.
