Why is it so complicated for these muppets to make a decision?

we're gonna do it, we're gonna do it we just aren't sure when we're gonna do it.

Covid aside so many people really do not understand how easily a medically venerable person can succumb to something as recoverable as strep-throat. That's what finished off my gran....family member had it, transmitted it to her (as you do), dead in a month gasping for her last breath.
Anyway, I bet if you gave the guy a choice of how to spend the last 12months I don't think he'd have any regrets.

Before Xmas Tom was flown to the Carribbean for a reward for his efforts.
Flying is never a good idea currently.
He was not available to have the the vaccine before caught pneumonia and not able to take it while being treated for pneumonia. The cockup was he could have had the vaccine early December, our neighbour got hers early December and she is 87.

Awkward question is did he have his Flu jab? And is the current flu jab effective? There have been times in recent years it was no where as effective as it should have been. With global lockdowns affecting flu transmission it's possible the correct strains immunise against were not identified.
As for flying; When I was on certain asthma steroids I could guarantee you that I would get a cold after plane flight, especially a medium/long haul flight. As such I always question the effectiveness and maintenance regimes of aircraft filtration systems. It's only since Covid, carriers have been a little more transparent. Of course it's not just the aircraft, it's the halls, lounges, queues etc. Unless it's a private aircraft out of a private terminal it's probably the third biggest hotspot for virus transmission alongside hospitals, supermarkets/shopping centres, education establishments and public transport.

Why are they so obscessed with getting kids, or should we give them their proper title "disease ridden snot monsters" back to school where they can associate closely with other disease ridden snot monster, and assume things will start to get back to normal?

The airports have no idea about the quarantine plan, the hotels have no idea about the quarantine plan. Presumably the government has know idea about the quarantine plan! What an absolute disaster!
Airports 'have no idea' how quarantine rules will work
Coronavirus: Hotels 'yet to hear anything' on quarantine plan

The surprising element was the Guardian reported it. They are the UK's toady to the EU. Everyone knew VDL was a poor(extremely polite) person for high office- yet the Germans installed her. Maybe its a part of a grand master plan to bring down the Eu from within by placing idiots to run it.
Borders should have been shut in the UK, USA and Europe completely, this has been a failure and allowed virus to spread rapidly. I always wanted total ban on movement of people. See Australia shining example.

No mystery, they wanted UK to leave EU. That was the main theme of last election. The Tories win by a landslide.

In a sea of disasters managing covid, the Vaccination roll out is the single bit they seem to be doing well, although they're only really doing well issuing the first dose rather than both doses!

There’s 45 year olds in hospital ... as many as 80 olds
Can’t quite see it as being great news - if other countries are closed

Err!
Because buying a product from a rogue state that kills its political enemies, sends agents to poison Russian people in the UK with nerve agent is legitimising their actions. Effectively the EU are saying its ok what you have done by buying the vaccine. Sure the vaccine is useful but there are other supplies.
The French were slow again, UK has secured vaccines from Valneva, a French pharmaceuticals

So if most of the world can only get hold of the Russian vaccine , they should just die rather than wait for UK to hand out something ?
you are using the virus to take aim at EU
just ridiculous
