Hello people, hope you’re all well👍. Not been on here for a while due to work etc....still got the Subaru and still puts a massive smile on my face although it’s not getting used at the moment. I have a new favourite carnauba wax and it’s the chemical guys butter wax.. the steering went very heavy so adge at adgespeed fitted a new pas belt and it’s all sweet. I’m going to wax her tomorrow so I will post some pictures up. What I have learned though is there’s not much between these show and shine waxes, more about how easy it is to apply and remove. Thanks

That butter wax and collenite 745 are fantastic mate 👍 not sure how good they repel rain etc as it’s a summer car and by all accounts they only protect the paintwork for a couple weeks so there’s definitely better on the market in that regard but the shine off that butter wax is something else ❤️

The one right above the badge, gutted. That might be sorted with some paintless dent removal. Or throw on a carbon bonnet.

that’s the 1. There’s a couple dotted around the car so I will take it to a dent specialist or something when they do my head in.

Yep 100% mate we both work at a garage and this last year he's been getting involved in boring electric cars!! luckily I've managed to dodge it and not get to involved in them as they don't interest me one bit!
He said to me recently that the era that I grew up in (I'm 40) had the best cars and all the cars now are boring lol.. got to agree with him to be honest.

Your talking about the anti- tampering laws.... Proposed.
If you are, i think they will not apply to the cars already on the road........ Hopefully.
Thats what the classic car guys are lobbying for, the guys that are bit closer to local MPs.

yes that's it mate, did you sign the petition?
I am honestly not looking forward to a future in this country, can't do this......you will drive that......you must pay this etc etc just becoming a big-brother state. Even new cars now will be fitted with tech that will not allow the car to go over the speed limit, now I'm not saying that I break the limit whenever I can but on a motorway I will happily sit @ 85 mph, 70mph is so out-dated for the cars on the road.
not interested in it in any way/shape/form and I'm gonna continue to burn petrol as long as I can.

Yes Matt i signed. But still unsure of what im signing for, it could be a massive problem for the aftermarket industry, but if its just to make sure Billy Sollocks has good enough brakes and emmisions on his 400hp corsa.

I think this whole debate lacks clarity as anything weighing a tonne to 3 tonnes is or could be disaster travelling at motorway speeds, if be Billy Sollocks in his corsa or Little lord fontel-Roy in his self driving Tesla.

Sorry Dave ive hijacked your thread, your car looks mint as always. 🍻
