Doesn't need to be favourite, just 2nd. Then the likes of me will kick into the equation

We have to wait for the reasons why it was dismissed, but it would seem its more to do with the misconduct in public office charge being not applicable than him not being guilty of knowingly lying to the public. We have to wait and see if a different charge can be brought instead!

It was politically motivated. There will be no more charges, because there isnt anything wrong with what he said. However you want to dice it, the figure quote was factually accurate.

The quote on the bus said:

We send the EU £350 Million a week
Which is factually incorrect as the rebate is deducted before we send the EU any money, so the factual figure of what we actually send the EU is around £250 million per week!

How have you still not grasped this after 3 years of being told the figure on the side of the bus was factually incorrect?

Have a read of this, it may help you finally understand how much EU membership really costs the UK https://fullfact.org/europe/our-eu-m...ee-55-million/

Before rebate or after, £250 or 350 million it is a ridiculously stupid sum to be part of a trading block.

Nothing will come of it because he didn't lie, its just the number you're trying to argue over. It not like 100,000 to 100,000,000 in difference.

It should cost nothing, to have trade agreements. We are talking about just a trading block arent we?

If only May had not called a general election she would have had a majority and would got a deal through by now, and this thread would not exist. Big mistake. Instead it gave labour a chance to cause mayhem. So tired of it now I couldn't care less, british politics is completely broken and a shambles. I am more concerned about Trump if we make a deal and just in general. That is another thread though.

Sadly, the gifted ‘wordy’ types saw fit to define it in the Oxford English dictionary.

At least its not an Americanism, or some form of colloquialism originating from the urban grime fraternity.

Why are you blaming Labour for this?

Brexit is whole and solely a Tory catastrophe. They've spent the past 35 years pulling themselves apart over it ably assisted by Farage, UKIP, New UKIP and the DUP.

Now they've managed to split the country.

But this mess is nothing to do with Labour (useless as they are).

The EU (nor any of it's predecessor states) is not, nor has ever been, "just a trading block".

If you'd actually read even the first few sentences of the Treaty of Rome (1957) you would know this.

And you'd probably talk less b0llocks.

Or maybe you just can't help it, and you wouldn't.

In the real, not the fairy-tale version you've so readily bought into, the one that actually happened, it was Margaret Thatcher who was the principle proponent of 'Enlargement', the eastward expansion of the EU that brought in Eastern Europe.

She wanted it because she feared the power of a united Germany.

Remember, the EU that you so want to leave today was shaped in major part by Britain too.

He's promising a tax break for the rich, clearly trying to appeal to the party members who will vote in the final round! He'll pay for it with the money set aside for a no deal Brexit, so does that mean no deal is off the table or just no deal with no backup plan!
